Ahead of its Monday night episode on Fox, 9-1-1 sent out a photo that shows first responders hard at work and on the scene.
The Fox first-responder drama has Angela Bassett and Peter Krause as its main stars.
But this photo shows how these brave men and women answer the call to serve.
Take a look right here and feast your eyes.
Hey Outsiders, 9-1-1 is currently in its fifth season on Fox. The series also produced a spin-off titled 9-1-1: Lone Star starring Rob Lowe.
Other cast members include Oliver Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Aisha Hinds, Rockmond Dunbar, Ryan Guzman, and Kenneth Choi.
This show is definitely not your grandmother’s old-school cop show. Its danger and excitement come from the different storylines that involve all the characters.
Make sure to get to your TV at 8 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Central, for 9-1-1.
‘9-1-1’ Star Oliver Stark Says Show Is Trying To Provide Dose of Realism
Most shows that have something to do with police officers or firefighters let viewers see their lives.
But is that view real or made to fit the TV show creator’s own idea?
Well, Stark of 9-1-1 said that the show is definitely bringing a dose of realism.
Stark, who plays Evan Buckley, told Assignment X last year that the actors have a connection with first responders. He also talked about what it means to the 9-1-1 cast to portray those frontline workers.
OK, so Stark said, “We’re trying our best to give a really honest depiction of what it’s like to be a first responder.
“And I hope that any first responders who tune in see a part of themselves in it and understand that, yes, we have to take some artistic license,” he said. “But we’re trying to honor and pay tribute to what they do every day.”
The actor also said 80 percent of calls that firefighters get are medical calls.
“And I feel like that’s not something that’s often represented,” Stark said. “So I feel like we’re trying to keep it in the realm of reality, and show that.”
Stark Carefully Reads Through Each Script, Then Asks Proverbial Question
Stark obviously loves his work.
But he even admits one question always seems to pop in his head when reading through another episode’s dialogue.
Stark said that “literally my first thought, nine times out of ten, when we get a script is, ‘How do we pull that off?’
“Thankfully, I’m not the one in charge of making it happen; I just have to show up,” he told Assignment X. “We really do have an incredible crew of people that, by the time we turn up to set, it’s all done, it’s all ready for us.”
