Hands down, “9-1-1: Lone Star” features some pretty badass ladies, both as actors and as characters. The show recently posted on Twitter highlighting a few of their amazing characters and actors. “Y’all know what time it is,” the show wrote. “Happy #WCW to our favorite ladies!”

First up is a photo of Grace Ryder, played by Sierra McClain. Grace is one of the dispatchers for the Austin, Texas area. She’s level-headed, determined, and independent, which causes her issues when she needs to be taken care of after her and Judd’s car accident. She had trouble asking for help, but did it anyway.

Next, a photo of Gwyneth Morgan, played by Lisa Edelstein. Gwyn is Own Strand’s ex-wife and TK Strand’s mother. She’s a wildly successful lawyer but has a complicated relationship with her ex-husband. She’s intensely loving, and dotes on her son, especially when he was in the hospital. She’s someone you’d love to have as your mom.

Then, “9-1-1: Lone Star” shared a photo of Nancy Gillian and Tommy Vega, played by Brianna Baker and Gina Torres respectively. Nancy Gillian is a paramedic with the EMS 126 squad in Austin. She takes her job seriously, but sometimes feels left out of the group. She explained once to TK that “the firefighters are jocks and the paramedics are nerds.” After that, TK tries to include her in more things, like having her finish the paint on Tim’s name on the ambulance. She was affected the most when Tim died; she values her friendships, like her relationship with Tommy Vega.

Tommy Vega is like Nancy’s mentor; Nancy looks to Tommy for how she wants to be as a paramedic and as a mother. Tommy is loyal and fierce, and loves her daughters like nothing else in the world. After her husband died, she decided to stop working as a paramedic and devote her time to her children. But, after her children convince her to go back to work, saying that she saves people and they need her, she tells Grace that the 126 are “her people” and “her home.” She does everything she can to balance work and her kids.

Lastly, “9-1-1: Lone Star” featured a photo of Marjan Marwani, played by Natacha Karam. Marjan came to the 126 from Miami, where she was reckless and insubordinate, but quick in a crisis. She’s definitely an adrenaline junkie, always ready to do the dangerous jobs, like braving a tornado or a hole full of steam to save someone. That gets her into trouble sometimes, but she always means well, and takes her job as a firefighter extremely seriously. She also holds her beliefs in high regard, being Muslim, and takes pride in her religion and her heritage.
