Rob Lowe, the beloved fire captain from 9-1-1: Lone Star, showed some birthday love for his youngest son, Saturday.
It was Johnny’s birthday, so Lowe posted a sweet photo of his son with his dog.
“To my smart, funny, and loving 26 year old: Dogs always know a winner when they see one! So proud of who you are and who you will be. I love you, Happy Birthday Johnny Lowe!!!”
If you’re a fan of Rob Lowe and his role on 9-1-1: Lone Star, you love this sweet post. But check that. Johnny didn’t like the photo choice.
“I insist on photo approval next time,” Johnny replied to his dad. ” Because this is a travesty. Love u.”
So take a look. Outsiders is this a “travesty?” Is Johnny right in calling out his father? Or was Lowe yearning to keep his son looking innocent and young? Check it out:
All the Lowe Men Got Into the Second Birthday Post
Let’s go back to Instagram again. This father-son post has turned into a fun family feud. Lowe reconsidered his first post, which wasn’t to his son’s liking. So the fire captain on 9-1-1: Lone Star tried it again. And to the delight of Lowe’s fans, it also started more father-son(s) banter.
The photo showed father and son, in the gym. Take it away Rob Lowe:
“I don’t usually double post. But when I do I prefer it to be a FLEX. Hope you learned a thing or two in the gym today, birthday boy.”
And the birthday boy responded: “I didn’t learn anything except how to flex on you, old man.”
Then came brother Matthew, who wrote “could have told you this would be the post he wanted.” Big brother also wished his brother a separate happy birthday.
Did You Know the Birthday Boy is Involved with 9-1-1: Lone Star?
9-1-1: Lone Star fans, did you know that Johnny is involved with the show? He co-wrote the episode Slow Burn, which ran in May, when 9-1-1: Lone Star was closing out season two. The plot summary: “After being forced to take time off work to recover from his surgery, Owen finds himself immersed in the search for a serial arsonist. Meanwhile, T.K. and Carlos take their relationship to the next level and Marjan copes with the aftermath of losing someone on the job.”
There also was another Lowe involved with the episode. Chad Lowe, Rob’s younger brother, directed it.
“If you’d have told me that this would happen, I would’ve said you’re crazy,” Rob Lowe told Entertainment Weekly. “Just all of the things that had to line up and all of the work that had to go into it, for all three of us to get to the place where it could happen, is extraordinary and totally a blessing. I’m so glad that this is something that we all three got to experience.”
