9-1-1: Lone Star reminded us Friday why it’s never, ever a good idea to mess with Firefox.
If you’re a fan of the show, you know that Firefox is Marjan’s social media identity. She’s got more than 5 million followers, so she’s a huge influencer as well as a fabulous first responder.
And in a throwback tease for the upcoming season three of 9-1-1: Lone Star, the show’s social media team posted a clip of Firefox at work.
“Who remembers this iconic Firefox moment?” The tweet said. And it tagged actress Natacha Karam, who has portrayed Marjan the past two seasons.
Firefox Shamed Some Jocks on ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’
So what was the 9-1-1: Lone Star moment all about? It was a slice of the A Little Help From My Friends episode, which ran in April. We take you to a local ice cream shop, where a group of high school athletes comes in and convinces one of the workers (Keith) to give them a friends and family discount. But Keith doesn’t realize the kids are only pretending to be his friend to receive the cheaper ice cream.
In order to fulfill their order, Keith needed to fix a broken machine. But his hand got stuck. So Sheila, another worker, tried to help. But her entire arm was sucked into the malfunctioning machine. Dispatchers sent a unit from 9-1-1: Lone Star station 126 for the ice cream rescue.
The athletes showed no empathy for Sheila as they tried to meme her. So Marjan started filming them as she made fun of the group for being so mean. Sheila regained consciousness. And as she’s taken to the hospital, she promised the 126 the friends and family discount for life. Then Marjan called over the leader of the athletes. She asked if they want to go “viral.” The jocks wanted no part of it, but Marjan posted the video anyway.
Paul told Marjan: “you are cold-blooded.” And Marjan quipped “don’t ever forget it.”
In Frigid Season Three Premiere Winter Storm Hits Austin
Speaking of cold-blooded and 9-1-1: Lone Star, ice and snow are going to be central to the season three premiere. The new season launches on Jan. 3.
The premiere is recreating a bizarre Texas ice storm that blasted the state in February. The 9-1-1: Lone Star social media team hyped the season premiere earlier this month. As “Cold As Ice” plays, fans see Rob Lowe. Then there’s his son, TK, one of the paramedics. TK is trying to rescue someone who has fallen through the ice on a lake.
9-1-1: Lone Star is filmed in Los Angeles. But it’s a show about first responders in Austin, Tx. The plots usually have a sliver of reality to them. This episode is no different. A historic winter storm crushed Austin while 9-1-1: Lone Star was in the midst of its second season stride.
