Covid lockdowns were hard on everyone—even Hollywood stars like 9-1-1’s Peter Krause.

When Covid first hit in 2020, Lauren Graham—Peter Krauses‘ long-time live-in girlfriend—was filming The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers in Vancouver. And Krause was at home in LA with his 19-year-old son.

Because of health and safety protocols brought about by the pandemic, 54-year-old Graham couldn’t get home to see her beau. And the couple ended up being apart for months.

“Normally it’s a two-hour flight, I’d come home on the weekends, but I couldn’t do that [because of COVID], so we were separated for almost five months, which had never happened before,” Graham recalled during an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April. “So when I came home, the house was a little different. There were more piles, I would say.”

When the 9-1-1 star and Gilmore Girls alum finally reunited, they had an awkward adjustment period. Krause and his son had spent so much time together that they had developed a new dynamic. And Graham had to learn to deal with it.

“I think the reentry was more difficult,” she admitted. “It was more like they were the married couple, and I was the person who … they were like, ‘We don’t do it that way anymore.’ They were like, ‘No, no, no, this is how things happen.’”

‘9-1-1’ Actor Peter Krause Built a COVID Corner to Keep Himself Busy

Lauren Graham said her boyfriend developed a “COVID Corner” hobby while she was gone. And it was definitely the oddest thing Krause did to pass the time.

Apparently, Peter Krause began collecting random items during lockdowns because he thought it would make “COVID life fun.”

“He’d go to the store and stock up on ridiculous amounts of whatever and leave it in the corner of the living room and he’d call it, ‘COVID Corner,’ as if that somehow made these piles of stuff fun or a place to visit or a place to show the guests,” she shared.

The Bad Santa star admitted that no one actually visited their home during the pandemic, so the collection was made in vain. But she humored Krause anyway.

“Nobody’s coming over, but he’d be like, ‘Hey guys! Have you seen COVID Corner?’ It’s not like an amusement park,” she continued. “But I felt like I had to respect COVID Corner and allow it to exist because these times are tough, and everyone just dealt with it their own way.”

Peter Krause and Lauren Graham met and began dating while filming Parenthood in 2010. And they’re not the only long-term relationship that came from the popular drama. Apparently, the couple is still close to co-star Dax Shepard. So close, that they moved into his neighborhood.
