2021 has been a tough year for the Alaskan Bush People family, and that includes Bear Brown. As the year winds down to a close, Bear is remembering his late father.
Alaskan Bush People patriarch Billy Brown passed away back on February 8 after having a seizure at his home. Ever since that time, Bear and the rest of his siblings have been left to navigate the world for the first time without their beloved father. There have been a lot of firsts in the year 2021, and there will likely be more to come in 2022. It will be a continuous process as Bear Brown and his brothers and sisters work through their grief.
Speaking of which, one of the ways that Bear is able to work through his grief is by posting on social media. The 34-year-old uses that as a key outlet to get his feelings off of his chest. It’s also a way for him to interact with his fans and followers of which he has more than a quarter-of-a-million of on Instagram alone.
That was the case yet again on Thursday afternoon. Brown posted a snap of him and his parents together on one of his birthdays from a few years ago.
“My birthday a few years ago! Miss him!” Bear captioned the photo.
Of course, if you want to see future updates from Bear Brown, you’ll have to request to follow his private Instagram account, “bearbrownthekingofextreme“. Bear changed his account to private following the death of his father and other drama surrounding the family.
‘Alaskan Bush People’ Fans Comment on Bear’s Family Photo
It goes without saying, but Alaskan Bush People fans love seeing updates from the cast in real life. So much has happened in the lives of Bear and his siblings, and their fans have been there with them through it all.
“Hang in there,” commented one fan. “Focus on those good memories but let those tears flow when they show up. Our emotions are like visitors; they come and stay awhile but then they go. You’re doing great.”
“Beautiful photo of the three of you @bearbrownthekingofextreme,” another fan said. “I’m glad you have this photo to look back on.”
Even Bear’s younger sister, Rain Brown, chimed in with a comment.
“I remember that!” she said.
It’s easy to see just how close Bear Brown and his father Billy really were. Be it on older episodes of Alaskan Bush People, or by all the heartfelt social media posts.
Bear also has a one-year-old son named River. Billy always preached about the importance of a loving and caring family, and it seems like Bear has taken that to heart. He most definitely will cherish all of the father-son moments he has with his own son.
