‘Alaskan Bush People’: Brown Fam Looks Ready for Christmas Special in New Photo

by Quentin Blount

The holiday season is upon us, folks! Lucky for all of us, Discovery Channel will be airing a Christmas special episode of Alaskan Bush People.

There is no question about it — 2021 has been a challenging year for the Brown family. They all grew up in the wilds of Alaska, doing whatever it took to survive. Since then, they have risen to stardom thanks to their reality television show on the Discovery Channel, Alaskan Bush People. The show first premiered back in May of 2014.

However, they have also faced their fair share of tragedy. Family patriarch Billy Brown passed away back in February after suffering a seizure at his home. The family dedicated the newest season of Alaskan Bush People to Billy, and are now getting ready to celebrate their first-ever Christmas without him. In doing so, they will be releasing a special Christmas episode for fans.

“The Browns will spruce things up to make this Christmas a joyous one to remember,” a press release stated. “Including a one-of-a-kind Secret Santa exchange with original Brown-crafted gifts for each other. To honor their late father, the family plans to deck their homestead with an abundance of lights and decorations to ‘reach him in heaven.'”

Brown Family Ready to Celebrate Christmas

Everyone deals with grief differently, and the Brown siblings have had nearly a year to process the loss of their beloved father. We all know that time is the only real healer in these situations. But if there is anything that can help ease the pain in the meantime, it’s being around family during the holidays.

18-year-old Rain Brown — the youngest of the Brown siblings — took to her official Instagram page on Sunday to post a photo of her and her siblings prior to the new episode. Check it out down below:

“Who’s ready for an ALL new @alaskanbushpeople CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!!! Tonight on @discovery and @discoveryplus!! Celebrate this Christmas Bush style!”
