Seeing as she’s one of the most hilariously influential actors ever, Betty White certainly deserves a 100th birthday party fit for royalty. She is hitting a century on this Earth, after all.
Betty White has been in the entertainment business starting in 1939, not long after she graduated from high school. Her first professional acting job was at the Bliss Hayden Little Theatre. Eventually, she would start her own TV show called “Life with Elizabeth” in the 1950s.
Betty White’s Fabulous Birthday Party
Now, Betty White’s countless fans want to come together to celebrate the icon’s 100th birthday on January 17. There are tickets available to buy for “Betty White: 100 Years Young — A Birthday Celebration.” It is a movie event that is going to appear in select theaters nationwide on the day of her birthday.
You can buy tickets, here. It is only going to screen at 900 different theaters at both 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
According to the Los Angeles Times, it seems like a party you will not want to miss. It includes guests like Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Ryan Reynolds, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, James Corden, Valerie Bertinelli, Jay Leno, Carol Burnett, Jimmy Kimmel, Wendy Malick, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
It’s all going to be a glimpse into her birthday party with a lot of the celebrity friends she’s made over the years. The whole event “offers a revealing glimpse into her life — behind-the-scenes on set, working with her office staff, entertaining at home, lending her voice as an animal advocate,” a press release stated.
Leading up to her birthday, some of her fans have been vocal about wanting the day of Betty White’s birth to be a real national holiday. We’re still holding out on that.
White on Living a Long Life
Betty White continues to live a long life in every sense of the word. Not only has she been in the entertainment business for over 80 years, but she has made other things in her life a massive priority as well. For example, White is known for her animal advocacy as well.
As it turns out, Betty White only gets better with age. So, what’s her secret to a long and spectacular life?
She explained that keeping busy with things you’re passionate about is important. Also, avoid complaining and try to look at things in a positive light.
“Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look,” White said in an interview with Parade in 2018.
Accentuating the positive for Betty White also means giving credit to the best food group out there — vodka and hot dogs.
