‘Big Sky’: Katheryn Winnick Gushes About Jenny’s New Romance with Travis

by Joe Rutland
In the season two premiere of “Big Sky” from last night, Jenny is still kicking despite those bullets to the torso. After surviving a near-death situation, she decides to make a major change in her life. We learn that she is accepting Sherriff Tubb’s offer to return to law enforcement and to get her badge back. She tells him, “I have a second chance, a do-over, and I want to take it.” Almost dying by gunfire definitely makes you rethink life, after all. Jenny is now officially the undersheriff and will work closely with Tubbs. What does that mean for Jenny and Cassie, then? The two of them were working side-by-side for Dewell & Hoyt, a private investigative detective agency. Cody Hoyt, Jenny’s murdered husband from season one, was originally the “Hoyt” in the equation. Rick Legarski quickly ended his involvement in everything, however.

It appears that “Big Sky” star Katheryn Winnick’s character of Jenny Hoyt is finding love with Travis Stone. What does she think about it?

Winnick, who has been playing Hoyt since the show premiered on ABC in November 2020, talked about it in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“I don’t think she’s really thinking of falling in love again,” Winnick said of Jenny. “Or even thinking of anything serious at this point. She just wants to be really good at her job, and she’s enjoying the relationship that she has with Travis.”

The “Big Sky” actress said Jenny is enjoying the chemistry.

“I don’t think she’s thinking too much at this point of where it’s going to go,” Winnick said. “She’s allowed to have fun.”

‘Big Sky’ Actress Says We’ll Just Have to ‘Wait and See’ If Jenny Falls in Love With Travis

Now she’s asked if Jenny is playing with fire about another love interest.

“You’re going to have to wait and see,” Winnick said. “Does Jenny actually fall in love with Travis? You’re just going to have to wait and see on that. But I think at this point in the story, it’s a working relationship with benefits.”

When asked if she has a favorite scene from this season, the “Big Sky” actress moved the discussion back to the Jenny-Travis couple.

“I don’t know if I’d say a scene, but right now I’m discovering Jenny’s relationship with Travis is new and fresh and fun,” she said. “We just did four scenes back to back yesterday, so I think that relationship has a lot of room to grow.

“I also really want to explore that Jenny understands the undercover world,” Winnick said. “I’m enjoying the show going in this direction, and getting time to sit with them and see Jenny in her real life and not just on the run all the time.”

“Big Sky” airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, on ABC.

Winnick Character Dealt with Aftermath Of Bloody Season 1 Conclusion

When the show finished Season 1 on ABC, Winnick’s character Jenny Hoyt had some business to finish up.

As Season 2 opened, she’s dealing with getting shot. Jenny nearly died, so she chooses to make a major change in her life.

Hoyt is going back to the world of law enforcement.

Jenny looks at Sheriff Tubbs and tells him, “I have a second chance, a do-over, and I want to take it.”

So Hoyt is now undersheriff to Tubbs. Now, we look at the future for Jenny and Cassie working together.

They had formed Dewell & Hoyt, a private investigative detective agency. Originally, Jenny’s murdered husband Cody Hoyt was the original member in the twosome.
