It’s a boy for Big Sky’s Kylie Bunbury!
Kylie announced the birth of her son on Instagram today (12/13). His name is Rumi Walker Riggins, and he’s absolutely perfect.
“Life is a series of awakenings, this is our greatest one yet,” she wrote alongside the snapshot.
And on December 6th, that awakening was finally earthside. The Brave New World star spent the first week of Rumi’s life soaking in those new motherhood feels. And today, she shared a picture of Rumi with her fans.
In the photo, the newborn is clutching his mom’s finger while he catches up on some sleep.
“Rumi Walker Riggins 12.6.21,” Kylie captioned. “The greatest, deepest, most unimaginable love I’ve ever known.”
‘Big Sky’ Alum Ryan Phillippe Values Family and Being a Parent
What has Ryan Phillippe been up to since being killed off of Big Sky during its very first episode? Well, lots of things. But according to sources, his most important job is being a dad to his three children.
“Ryan has been an awesome parent … and everything pretty much stops for him when his kids need him,” one source told US Magazine. “Even during the pandemic when he’s been in literally another country, he’s present in their lives and he is still the ‘cool parent’ in their eyes. … He is really proud of who they’ve become.”
Ryan shares two children, Ava, 21, and Deacon, 18, with his Legally Blonde ex-wife Reese Witherspoon. The couple split in 2008. He also has 10-year-old Kai, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp.
The 47-year-old actor has dedicated his life to co-parenting his kids. Ava and Deacon are both grown. But Ryan has made it a point to remain close with their mother. And that was evident when Deacon turned 18. Both Ryan and Reese met to celebrate their son’s big day. And they posted pics from the party together on social media.
Being a father has taught Ryan a lot about what’s important in life. Juggling a career and family isn’t always easy. But in the end, his kids always come first.
“You start to be more aware of only having a certain amount of time to do anything [and] you want that time to be spent wisely and around people that you like and enjoy,” Phillippe said to US Magazine during a September interview. “You need to modify things according to what your lifestyle and to the other responsibilities and commitments that you have, from a family standpoint.”
