Bindi Irwin is officially inked up! Yes, you read that right, folks. One of our favorite members of the Irwin family is sharing the powerful message behind her new ink.
With each passing day, we are seeing Bindi Irwin come into her own as a new mother. We have been loving seeing her and her daughter Grace Warrior grow together and they are continuing to do that. Bindi, 23, gave birth to her baby girl back on March 25 of last year. Grace Warrior, of course, is the first child between Bindi and her husband, Chandler Powell. Fun fact: baby Grace shares a birthday on the same day as her parents’ wedding anniversary.
It goes without saying that Bindi and Grace are extremely close as a mother and daughter duo. But Bindi took that to the next level here recently when she got a tattoo dedicated to her daughter. She posted a picture of the tattoo, which is located on her inner forearm, on her official Instagram account. And baby Grace looks like she is holding her mom’s hand.
“The words I spoke to our daughter as I held her for the first time in my arms were, ‘My graceful warrior’,” Bindi Irwin wrote alongside the photo. “That’s how her name was born.”
However, not only is Bindi’s new ink a tribute to little Grace Warrior, but it’s also a tribute to her late father — the beloved crocodile hunter Steve Irwin.
“This is my dad’s handwriting to keep him with me, always,” she said. “Our dear alligator, Daisy, is next to these words to represent our conservation work as Wildlife Warriors. And my beautiful wedding ring in bloom. Validation every day of the three most important things in my life: family, purpose and unconditional love. Since Grace’s breastfeeding journey ended, now felt like the perfect time for this empowering artwork.”
Bindi Irwin Family and Friends Love Her New Ink
It doesn’t get much more adorable than Bindi Irwin and Grace Warrior. And evidently, her family and friends feel the exact same way. Her husband Chandler was one of the first to leave a comment.
“Such gorgeous artwork,” Powell commented.”You amaze me every day. Each one is meaningful to mark this special time in our life together. Also, Florida in me loves the alligator. Love you so much.”
Bindi replied back saying, “I love you with all my heart.”
Meanwhile, Luke Reavley, another team member at the Australia Zoo, left a message on Bindi’s post as well.
“Looks amazing! Love it!” he said.
Finally, another fan left a touching comment for Bindi and her adorable daughter.
“What a beautiful way to always keep those memories with you! Your father would be so incredibly proud of the woman you continuously shape yourself to be, and the gorgeous little angel you’re raising.”
