With a little help from her husband and brother, Bindi Irwin is showing off the fruits of her labors outside Australia Zoo’s brilliant wildlife conservation.
Without a doubt, Bindi Irwin is a super mom. Her husband, Chandler Powell, knows it. You can hear it in his voice as he records her latest video update over on her official Instagram. Within, fans of the Irwins learn how Bindi has spent the last five years outside of raising her tiny daughter, Grace Warrior, and helping save Australia’s precious wildlife through the Irwin’s zoo.
“Supporting conservation, this book took me 5 years to create and I’m incredibly grateful for your support. Link in my bio (rice not technically included…),” Bindi captions the post. In the video, she offers up a bit more on the book and what she’s been up to.
“I am signing books, because throughout the month of November every hardcover book sold is going to be signed! Which is really exciting,” Bindi smiles as Chandler records. “And Robert… Is here eating rice,” she points to her brother, Robert Irwin, who is chowing down on a rice bowl with their pug, Stella. “This is really helpful and not distracting at all.”
“Good books! Stella loves them,” Robert replies with a mouthful.
“Grace is having a nap, which is wonderful,” Bindi says of her tiny daughter. “So I’m signing as many books as I physically can while she’s asleep.” Spoken like a true super mom!
Bindi Irwin’s Book, ‘Creating a Conservation Legacy’
Like a typical little brother, Robert continues to eat his rice over the books. “You’ll get a signature from Bindi, and maybe a grain of rice from Robert!” Chandler jokes.
“Thank you all so much for your support,” Bindi ends the video with a blown kiss.
Chandler, too is “So proud of all the hard work you’ve put into this masterpiece. I still catch myself sitting down to look at all of the great photos in it,” he comments on his wife’s Instagram post.
As for the book, Creating a Conservation Legacy tells the story of her family’s journey through the eyes and heart of Bindi Irwin.
“In celebration of Australia Zoo’s 50th birthday, we are incredibly proud to announce a very special book! Join Bindi Irwin as she takes you on the amazing journey from humble beginnings through to where we are today – effecting change in our own backyard and around the globe,” the book’s official synopsis reads. “It’s a substantial story that includes hundreds of photos from the Irwin family archives – many that have never been seen before. The 272-page book is printed locally here in Australia, with a choice of soft or hardcover options.”
And as always, each purchase supports the Australia Zoo’s wildlife conservation! A lovely tome and worthy cause, indeed. Hardcovers signed by Bindi Irwin can be purchased here and will ship in time for Christmas – which is exactly what this Outsider intends to do right now.
