It’s a time for celebration at the Irwin household, as today Bindi Irwin and her family celebrate her brother Robert’s 18th birthday.

Bindi took to Instagram yesterday to post a heartwarming message to her younger brother. From the looks of her dress, they took the adorable brother-sister photo on Bindi’s wedding day. She married Chandler Powell at the Australia Zoo on March 25, 2020, and we see evidence of the zoo in the background of the photo. Talk about the ultimate photo-bomber!

“Forest’s face behind us says it all… happy 18th to the very best,” Bindi Irwin wrote in her caption. “This year you’ve been promoted to uncle and taken on the world. I can’t wait to see what incredible adventures are on the horizon for you. I’ll always, always be here for you (with a fully stocked fridge). Love you.”

Robert’s certainly taken well to being an uncle. His little niece, Grace Warrior, was born eight months ago, and they’ve been thick as thieves ever since. Chandler even posted a photo of the adorable niece and uncle to wish Robert a happy birthday yesterday.

“Happy birthday to Grace’s Funcle! A birthday filled with feeding crocs and surfing is the perfect way to kick off your 18th lap around the sun🐊 Thanks for making every day an unexpected adventure!” Chandler wrote. Apparently, the adventures are far from over.

“Thank you so much, mate!!! Heaps more adventures ahead 😁🐊🌊,” Robert replied on Chandler’s post.

He also took the time to thank his big sister. “Thank you B! Love you (and your fully stocked fridge) so much 😁💛,” Robert wrote on Bindi Irwin’s post.

Bindi and Robert Irwin Post Beautiful Tributes to Dad on Steve Irwin Day

Earlier this month, the world celebrated Steve Irwin Day on Nov. 15. Steve’s two children, Robert and Bindi Irwin, posted heartbreaking tributes to their dad as well as adorable photos of the family.

“Today is #SteveIrwinDay. Thinking a lot about my Dad today and the impact that he made on our planet, inspiring an entire generation,” Robert wrote in his post.

“I also think about what a truly amazing dad he was. Through a lifetime captured on camera and stories from my family and those who knew him best, I’m able to remember the special times with dad,” Robert continued. “I still look up to him every day and while I miss him so much, it means the world to me and my family that each year we can have a day for the world to celebrate what he stood for.”

Robert was only two years old when Steve passed. Though they had such little time together, they clearly shared a special bond, just like Steve did with Bindi Irwin.
