‘Blue Bloods’ Actor Abigail Hawk is Back at Her Desk in New Selfie from Season 12 Filming

“Blue Bloods” actor Abigail Hawk is showing off to her fans as she’s back filming episodes for Season 12 of the CBS police drama.

Baker, who plays Detective Abigail Baker on the show, shared a photo from the set on Instagram.

Take a look at Baker working on Tuesday.

Hawk has been on “Blue Bloods” since 2010. Fans have seen the detective in scenes with Tom Selleck. She’s the primary aide to New York Police Department Commissioner Frank Reagan, played by Selleck.

Here’s something interesting, Outsiders. If you are an avid viewer of the CBS show, then you’ll know that Hawk has been billed as “Special Guest Star” for a long time. Usually, that time of credit is given to actors that make a special appearance. But Hawk has been in more than 200 episodes since “Blue Bloods” started. So, she’s really not a special guest star by now.

A native of Chicago, Hawk is married to Bryan Spies and has two children.

Where else have you possibly seen Hawk? Well, she’s appeared in other TV series like “Reality Check,” “Body of Proof,” and “Law & Order: SVU.” She also appeared in the movie “Almost Paris” and won the Best Actress award at the 2017 Golden Door Film Festival.

You will catch her again on “Blue Bloods” in scenes with Selleck. The CBS police drama kicks off its new season on Friday, Oct. 1, at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.

‘Blue Bloods’ Star Is Quite Happy To Work According to Selleck’s Schedule

Talk about having a flexible work schedule, Outsiders.

That is what Abigail Hawk has on “Blue Bloods” thanks to her co-star, Tom Selleck.

“I have sometimes two weeks off at a time,” the “Blue Bloods” actress said. “I’m able to dive into these other projects.”

Hawk admits there is a best-of-both-worlds vibe when it comes to her work.

“I have my stability,” she said during a 2019 interview. “But I get to be creative in many different ways. It’s wonderful.”

Flexible Time Schedule Is OK With Hawk As She Takes On Other Roles Beyond CBS Drama

That flexible schedule is fine with her on “Blue Bloods.”

“The beauty of ‘Blue Bloods’ is that I work off of Tom Selleck’s schedule,” Hawk said. Why is this so? Because Selleck splits his time between New York, where the series is filmed, and his avocado ranch out in California.

A lot of Selleck’s scenes, then, are filmed in specified time blocks.

Hawk adds that the schedule also gives her a deep appreciation for roles she’s gotten off of her “Blue Bloods” role. “I’m very, very grateful for that job,” she said.
