When it comes to gelling and meshing on set together, Blue Bloods star Bridget Moynahan connected almost immediately with one of her costars. Steven Schirripa had nothing but good things to say about his costar.

As the actor behind Detective Anthony Abetemarco, Schirripa has had a chance to work with Moynahan quite a bit. That has led to great scenes on TV. Detective Abetemarco just exudes NYPD energy. As a native New Yorker, the actor makes the most of his role. Back in 2016, the actor heaped praise on his costar in an interview with Talk Nerdy With Us.

When asked what his favorite Blue Bloods scene was to film, this is what he said: “You know, I liked them all. I enjoy working with Bridget Moynahan a lot and doing scenes with her. Right off the bat, we seemed to have good chemistry together. We had a scene in the first episode that I did under the Queensboro Bridge and I liked that. It kind of set the tone for everything. They were kind of having a little squabble but you can see that he has a lot of confidence in her and her opinion.”

That has proven true since 2016 as well. The two stars have done nothing but work well on camera and bring great drama and action to the show. Schirripa first appeared on the show back in Season 6. He made appearances in the next four seasons with his last appearance taking place during Season 10.

While Detective Abetemarco hasn’t been on the show this season, of course, Bridget Moynahan has been. Her role as Erin Reagan is one of the most important on the show. Now, the ADA has a big decision to make.

‘Blue Bloods’ Family Dinner Gets Serious

As usual, family dinner on Blue Bloods brought the goods. There are many issues that are resolved or at least discussed around the dinner table. That’s what makes the Reagan family so relatable. In the latest episode, there was a great conversation that culminated in Frank giving fatherly advice.

While the conversation started with football talk, it quickly changed to what ADA Erin has been going through lately. She announced that she wasn’t going to run for District Attorney. While her siblings know there is something more than meets the eye, her dad and granddad don’t really get it. Still Frank had some wisdom for Erin.

“Sometimes an emphatic no is the last step you have to take before jumping in with two feet,” he said sagely. “Something to think about.”

That advice seemed to impress Erin. Fans of Blue Bloods are going to be on the edge of their seats as she makes the decision to run or not. Perhaps this latest point from her dad is just what she needed to hear. Now, she might be ready to take that leap, “with two feet.”
