The first episode of the 12th season of “Blue Bloods” will premiere in less than two weeks! This, of course, is great news for the show’s millions and millions of fans.
Just what the upcoming season of the CBS drama will hold for the members of the Reagan family is only speculation at this point.
Will Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) retire from his role as the commissioner of the New York City Police Department? Will Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and his NYPD partner Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) become a romantic item? Could Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and his wife, Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) decide to start a family? What could happen with Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) and her career as an assistant district attorney? Will Joe Hill (Will Hochman) become a more prominent figure in the lives of the Reagan family?
There are so many questions. And surely there will be a lot of drama this season. The fans of “Blue Bloods” were invited to share their thoughts about what the future holds for the Reagans and company on social media by the show’s official Twitter account.
Fans Weigh In On What They Hope the Future Could Hold on ‘Blue Bloods’
On Sunday, Sept. 19, fans were asked: “What do you think is going to happen in the season premiere of #BlueBloods? We want to know.”
The responses varied, but it is clear that the fans who responded are very excited to see the series return with new episodes. Below are a few examples of what they had to say.
User @MeketaK had several hopes for season 12. At the top of her list was Jamie and Eddie starting a family. “I would love too (sic) see Jamko start a family, Joe have more air time, Danny go on a possible date. Nikki needs to move back from SF. Erin and Jack together. And I just love Anthony and Danny scenes …” She received some enthusiastic support from another “Blue Bloods” fan.
Fan @lghfive79 voiced their support for Danny and Maria becoming an item. “I think Danny and Beaz finally get together. I would love to see that happened (sic).”
Another fan offered a pretty accurate description of what viewers have come to suspect from Frank Reagan. “The Commissioner will ‘hrrmph’ once more over of a crunched up mustache … hesitating to pontificate a political stance posited by the waiting family, sighs, sits back & with a smile, reaches out with upturned hands ‘Pass the potatoes,'” @D_Robertson41 also shared.
Another fan shared hopes that Joe Hill will grow closer to Frank this season on “Blue Bloods.” “The s11 finale was amazing so much so that I can’t think what would happen in 12×01, but I wish for more Frank and Joe scenes. There’s something in me that wishes this to be the chance for Frank to get more time with his son’s son. But most of all I crave for a hug between them,” @Natalie_Ryan_ commented.
The season premiere of the 12th season of “Blue Bloods” will air on CBS on Friday, Oct. 1. The Reagan family drama will begin at 10 p.m. (ET).
