“Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg is pretty much an open book. But even he likely kept this habit a secret until a New Kids on the Block bandmember spilled the beans.
Joey McIntyre, who joined NKOTB at just 13 years old in 1985, talked with Boston Magazine recently about his life so far. At one point, the interviewer asked him a very pointed question: Tell me a secret about Donnie Wahlberg.
Having spent so much time together as a band, there are likely a million secrets McIntyre could’ve shared about the “Blue Bloods” star. But the one he chose reveals how sloppy Wahlberg can be in the dressing room.
“He leaves his underwear in the dressing room wherever he takes ’em off,” McIntyre said. “If you want to know if Donnie was in the room, or somewhere close, just look on the floor. If there’s underwear, that’s where he was.”
At least he’s easy to keep track of. Although, Wahlberg’s wife Jenny McCarthy must be sick of all the laundry lying about the house.
Speaking of the lovely Jenny McCarthy, her husband was apparently quite the womanizer before he met her. The “Blue Bloods” star and McCarthy met in 2012 and married in 2014. Before that, Wahlberg was married to Kimberly Fey from 1999 to 2008.
But back in the 80s and 90s, per McIntyre, Wahlberg and the other band members really played the field.
“Well, the Three Amigos were Jordan [Knight], Donnie [Wahlberg], and Danny [Wood], you know?” McIntyre said after the interviewer asked who the biggest player in the band was. “I don’t know if anyone had more conquests than the other, but it was definitely like the Serengeti out there.”
And now all three are happily married with kids.
‘Blue Bloods’ Star Donnie Wahlberg Shares ‘Cheesiest’ Throwback Photos
Many fans know that “Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg is a big cheeser. His smile can light up a room. But that smile seemed to shine even brighter in these hilarious throwback photos featuring the New Kids on the Block band members.
Apparently, one year for Halloween (or just to have fun), Wahlberg dressed up as an NKOTB fan. He wore his glasses, a Boston hat, and held up a special meet & greet pass in all his photos. He tried out many fan-favorite poses with the different boy band members, really living up the meet & greet experience.
“#FlashbackFriday to when I got my own @nkotb Ultimate M&G experience! Best day ever!!! Too bad Donnie wasn’t there (heard he’s the nicest) but the other guys def did not disappoint! Love them!” Wahlberg wrote in his post on Twitter. The “Blue Bloods” star also included the hashtags, “#KnightGirl #BlockBros #Blokchead #BHLove.”
