‘Blue Bloods’: Eddie Janko Isn’t Enjoying the ‘Torture’ of Having Current Partner

by Joe Rutland

Getting used to a new partner is testing the patience of Blue Bloods star Vanessa Ray in her character role of Officer Eddie Janko.

Let’s take a look at what’s going down with an assist from Matt & Jess.

This season, Eddie saw her partner Rachel Witten in the New York Police Department leave the police force. We’ll offer some information about why Lauren Patten, who played Witten, left Blue Bloods.

But Janko gets a new partner in Luis Badillo, played by Ian Quinlan. She is not happy about it and even calls being with Badillo “torture.”

Whew. Eddie knows that no one will replace Witten. Yet she really didn’t expect to have things so tough right now.

‘Blue Bloods’ Finds Eddie Asking Sergeant, Husband Jamie For Some Help

We can get a little sneak peek into this Friday’s Blue Bloods episode. This focuses on Eddie’s issues and she chats it up with her husband Jamie Reagan, played by Will Estes. But Jamie is now Sergeant Reagan and he oversees both Janko and Badillo. Oh boy.

Here’s that sneak peek, Outsiders.

Be sure and tune into Blue Bloods on Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, on CBS.

Oh, here’s a little info on why Patten left the show.

In the season premiere, it was revealed that Witten was leaving the New York Police Department force.

This led to Bardillo coming on the scene.

Patten has a lot of work on Broadway. In fact, she won a Tony Award for her role in Jagged Little Pill. Since theaters were closed due to COVID-19, that took her more toward TV work.

Now, theaters are reopening and she’s going back to the stage. That is why she left and we’re seeing Eddie throwing fits a little bit.

Danny Reagan Finds Himself Teaming Up With An Unlikely Partner

Do you know what’s going to be an interesting duo to watch on Blue Bloods this Friday? Danny Reagan and Anthony Abetemarco.

Yes, Donnie Wahlberg and Steve Schirripa will join forces as they go out in the streets.

Matt & Jess shares some details.

This case means a lot for Anthony. He and Danny are chasing down Anthony’s cousin Tony.

We probably will see more about Abetemarco’s life and his family this week. Although he’s a detective, not everyone in his life is as law-abiding as he would hope.

Anthony is going to get through this situation side-by-side with Danny.

Some Blue Bloods fans have been wondering if the show would end soon. This happens when fans want new episodes but just get reruns. FYI, this Friday is a new episode. But what about ending the series?

“I don’t think there is an endpoint,” Tom Selleck said last year.
