Blue Bloods star Marisa Ramirez is sharing her pride in her brother’s latest musical accomplishment…and she’s doing it in the sweetest way.

Celly Irez has just released a visual connected to his latest project Bittersweet, and Hip Hop Weekly is spreading the word. So, Marisa Ramirez had to do her part in getting the awesome news – and image – out there for Hip Hop fans.

“So proud of my lil big bro @cellyirez,” the Blue Bloods star writes in a Friday afternoon Instagram post.

In her Insta post, the Blue Bloods star proudly tells her Insta followers that Celly Irez is a self-taught musician, even putting the music to his latest project together all on his own.

“Self taught and making every inch of his music on his own,” Marisa Ramirez proudly shares in the December 10 post.

Of course, the actress then had to add a plug for the latest Hip Hop Weekly piece highlighting her brother’s project.

“Check out this article on hiphopweekly.com and then buy some music!!!” Ramirez exclaims in her message.

Marisa Ramirez may be one proud sibling as her brother’s success continues to grow.

And, it wasn’t too long ago when she herself was just starting out in her own industry.

Marisa Ramirez Wasn’t Expecting A Long Run as Baez on ‘Blue Bloods’

In fact, the actress remembers the moment she first took on the role of Blue Bloods detective Maria Baez in the popular CBS police procedural.

“They called my agent and offered an episode to me and it was right before pilot season was about to get crazy,” Marisa Ramirez recalls in a recent interview.

“So, I didn’t know the whole history behind all of Danny’s partners,” the Blue Bloods star adds.

Danny, of course, is Ramirez’s on-screen Blue Bloods partner, Danny Reagan, who is portrayed by Donnie Wahlberg.

The Blue Bloods actress adds that when she initially looked at the role, she didn’t think it would grow into such a pivotal piece of the hit drama’s story.

“When I read the script, I didn’t think that it would even be recurring,” Marisa Ramirez explains. “I just thought they needed a partner to solve the crime for an episode.”

Of course, we all know that the actress charmed Blue Bloods showrunners enough that her character has become one of the main players on the hit CBS series.

“I came into New York and shot that episode and just had the best time,” the actress recalls.

“I got along with everyone really well and they asked me to be in the next one,” Ramirez adds. “Then they asked me to be in the next one. So, I was like, ‘Wow! What’s happening right now?’”
