Before Marisa Ramirez was Maria Baez on Blue Bloods or Gia Campbell on General Hospital, she was a fashion model. She didn’t think the gig suited her. So she only modeled for a short time before breaking into the TV business. And though those days are far behind her, she still keeps one modeling hack under her sleeve.

Ramirez started her modeling career when she was just out of high school. And the job didn’t sit well with her. She felt like she was way more than just a pretty face. And she had a personality that needed to shine.

“I was 18-19 and on my own, I didn’t like being seen as an object, as a model,” she told Club Planet in 2011. “I was sort of a personality and I wanted to show it. So, I decided to pursue acting.”

Ramirez’s first job was with MTV. But the show went “on hiatus” after her co-host was injured. So she tried out for the long-running soap opera General Hospital. And she got the job. It didn’t take long for people to notice that she had serious acting chops. And she ended up on a few popular series before landing a spot next to Donnie Wahlberg on Blue Bloods.

And even though it doesn’t sound like Marisa Ramirez enjoyed posing behind the camera, she learned a neat beauty trick that she still uses to this day. And she gave it away on a recent installment of People Chatter.

When Ramirez has a pimple, she puts Visine on it. Apparently, it takes away the redness.

Marisa Ramirez and Donnie Wahlberg Have Too Much Fun Filming Blue Bloods Together

Marisa Ramirez and her co-star Donnie Wahlberg are best friends both on and off-screen. On Ramirez’s birthday, Wahlberg made an epic video montage of the duo playing on Blue Bloods. And both of them constantly post about each other on social media.

And during an exclusive interview with Pop Culture, the actress said that she and Wahlberg have an impenetrable bond.

“We just love each other… I’m so excited to be at work with him and to feel safe with someone who knows me because I feel like I keep my guard up with other actors, or crew, or whoever, and this is a place where I can let it down… It feels very safe and comfortable.”

According to Wahlberg, that bond makes their job a lot of fun. As he told The Talk, when he’s with his partner, they can’t stop laughing.

“We do laugh a lot, and there are times when we push it a little too far with our laughter outbreaks, but it makes the day so much fun,” he said. “I don’t want to be here if I don’t have scenes with him,” Ramirez said in the interview with “The Talk.”
