The newest episode of Blue Bloods is set to premiere tonight, Friday, November 12.
And, with an ominous title such as Be Smart or Be Dead, this brand new Blue Bloods episode certainly promises an intriguing evening. One full of some dark storylines and plenty of edge-of-your-seat action.
In this brand new season twelve episode, fans will see the Blue Bloods officers as they address several dangers that are lurking within their precincts.
According to some early promos, one of these dangers faced tonight will be an imminent one as Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) finds himself defending his life. According to early descriptions, Danny’s life is in danger when a hitwoman attempts to kill the New York City Police Officer.
One ‘Blue Bloods’ Officer Faces An Unknown Attacker
In some recent promos of the Friday, November 12 episode, we see Danny Reagan standing in a cemetery.
Then, a woman approaches carrying a gun. It’s a scary scenario for the New York City police officer to face, for sure. However, the reasons this woman is after Danny are still unknown. Thankfully, the woman fails to shoot Danny. And soon, she is in custody being questioned by the Blue Bloods officers.
Once the woman is in custody, Danny’s little brother, Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) learns that his older brother was indeed the woman’s intended target. Of course, this raises multiple questions.
Why does someone want Danny Reagan dead? Was this woman hired by someone to go after the Reagan family New York City Police Officer? If so, why?
Is this the beginning of an even bigger plot that will unfold over a series of future Blue Bloods episodes?
Danny Reagan Needs Protection
According to recent information, once it is confirmed by the Blue Bloods officers that Danny Reagan’s life is in danger, Jamie is tasked with protecting his older brother.
The order comes from Danny and Jamie’s own father, Fran Reagan (Tom Selleck) who serves as the current New York City Police Commissioner.
Of course, the Blue Bloods officer likely knows that this protection is necessary. Especially as the officers gather more information about the threat on Danny’s life.
However, the tough New York detective isn’t likely to be happy about going along with the plan. After all, who wants their “handler” to be their own little brother?
“As you can imagine, it goes over like a lead balloon with Danny that Jamie’s going to be his ‘handler,’” Will Estes says of the November 12 Blue Bloods episode.
“Danny doesn’t take orders so well,” the Blue Bloods star adds. “And Jamie is just trying to make the best of it.”
This newest episode of Blue Bloods will premiere tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, on CBS.
