On Wednesday morning, Blue Bloods star Abigail Hawk shared a picture with an amusingly confident caption for her more than 43,000 Instagram followers.
Hawk has starred as Detective Abigail Baker on CBS‘s hit crime drama since it debuted in 2010. She’s one of the only original cast members left now that we’re in Season 12 of the show. Past main character Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) and other Reagan family members, she’s one of the longest-tenured roles on Blue Bloods.
Recently, while enjoying a night off, Hawk hit the town while running around New York City. She took a moment to pose for the camera along with another unknown individual, and you can see a couple of notable things in the background. The Empire State Building is lit up in green and red in the distance. Therefore the photo is obviously taken at nighttime in NYC.
In addition, the pair are standing in front of a sign for the Soho International Film Festival. The popular film festival returned last week on Nov. 4, and it seems Hawk made an appearance at the least.
In the photo, Hawk is seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with a colorful floral print. She’s leaning against someone with their back turned to the camera. Their grey striped jacket reads “ARROGANT” across the back in yellow lettering, which Hawk amusingly commented on.
“Yes, and…?” the Blue Bloods star asked in her caption.
‘Blue Bloods’ Star Tom Selleck Rewrote a Scene for Co-Star Abigail Hawk
As mentioned before, Abigail Hawk and Tom Selleck are two of the original cast members of Blue Bloods dating back to the Season 1 premiere. Considering the show has aired for over a decade now, it shouldn’t be a surprise how close the cast and crew are. At times those relationships can be beneficial, and they definitely were when Hawk was going into labor.
According to Looper, Tom Selleck made sure to accommodate Hawk so she could deliver her son. The actress couldn’t perform one particular scene, so Selleck chose to rewrite the scene as her due date approached. In fact, Abigail even went into labor while filming.
“Tom Selleck literally rewrote a scene around the delivery of my son, which is a pretty awesome legacy,” Hawk said of her Blue Bloods co-star.
Additionally, Hawk highlighted how generous everyone on the show has been over the years. She called the CBS drama’s cast and crew a “big family.”
“We really are a big family,” Hawk explained. “Just having other moms understanding how fatigued I was. Making sure that the bags underneath my eyes were taken care of. Just little things like that…It’s been a wonderful, wonderful time.”
