‘Blue Bloods’ Star Donnie Wahlberg’s Dogs Bring Joy to His Mornings

by Quentin Blount

It doesn’t get much better than Blue Bloods and dogs. Just ask one of the stars of the show — Donnie Wahlberg.

We have said it before here at Outsider, and we’ll say it again — Donnie Wahlberg always knows exactly what to say. Or, in this case, exactly what to share with his fans and followers. If you have ever had a case of the Monday blues or just needed a little boost to get through your day, Donnie Wahlberg has got you covered. Maybe you just need a compliment or a positive message about life that will change how you approach things. Wahlberg has got you covered there, too.

Wahlberg’s social media accounts are chalked full of some of the most wholesome content on the web. Sometimes he posts about his beautiful family. Other times it’s just some wholesome Blue Bloods or New Kids on the Block content. But on Monday morning, Wahlberg brightened our day by showing us what brightens his — his beloved pooches.

What more could we ask for on a Monday morning?

“Good morning,” Wahlberg captions the photo before introducing his three dogs. “Duke & Lady (aka The Judy’s) and of course — Lumpy!”

Judging by the comments from Wahlberg’s fans, it looks like they enjoyed the photos of his dogs just as much as we did.

“So stinkin’ cute,” one person said. “Good morning and hope you have a wonderful day.”

“Awwwww,” commented another fan. “This just made me smile. Dogs are the best!!”

“Oh, my heart! So cute!” a third follower wrote. “I’m lucky if I can get pics of mine like this lol.”

‘Blue Bloods’ on Hiatus Until January

It’s hard to believe, but Donnie Wahlberg has been starring on Blue Bloods for more than 10 years now. The police procedural first got started on CBS back in 2014. Wahlberg, of course, plays Danny Reagan in the show. He’s a seasoned detective and the son of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck). His sister is assistant New York County District Attorney Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) and his younger brother Jamie (Will Estes) is a police officer as well.

It goes without saying that we want all the Blue Bloods we can get, especially since we’re right in the middle of the holiday season. Unfortunately, however, we will have to wait until Friday, January 7, to get a new episode. It will be titled “Old Friends.” Check out the synopses down below:

“An illegal drug shipment arriving in New York City forces Danny to partner up with his Texas Ranger associate, Major Waylon Gates (Lyle Lovett), to find the narcotics before they flood the streets. Also, Jamie makes a concerning discovery about a former mentor as he helps a neighbor handle a gambling debt, and Frank receives pushback from Mayor Chase over his handling of a brawl between demonstrators and police officers at a protest.”
