And as the year is drawing to a close, the actress is celebrating a fantastic year. While we’ve all been reeling from the effects of a worldwide pandemic, the “Blue Bloods” star shares why she’s grateful for another year around the sun.

“Blue Bloods” Star Opens Up About What Drew Her to Acting

She recently posted about her favorite moments of 2021. The TV star says there’s been a lot to celebrate and be grateful for moving into 2022.

“As 2021 comes to a close, I like to take stock of my favorite moments,” the Blue Bloods actress writes in the post, which features several pictures of her celebrating the past twelve months. “I know this is a seemingly impossible question to answer but… What is YOUR favorite memory from 2021?”

Further, while the 25-year-old has experienced lots of success in such a short time, she also explains what drew her to acting in the first place. Gayle got her start in several Broadway and off-Broadway productions which led her to eventually accept a role on “Blue Bloods.”

“When I was 3 or 4, I remember standing with my grandmother at the annual Coconut Grove Art Show, watching Moving Melvin tap on a small piece of wood. I looked at my grandmother and said, ‘I can do that.’ From that moment onwards, I knew I wanted to be a performer on Broadway.”

She goes on to say she’s happy that the police procedural also sheds light on relevant social issues today.

“I was thrilled that Blue Bloods made the effort to help normalize the discussion and prevalence of such experiences. But, it was challenging to bring that story to life in a way that would do justice to all of the individuals who have gone through that.”

Gayle also makes it a point to remain candid with her followers and fans. She often discusses challenges she faces daily as well as her triumphs. For someone so young, she’s definitely staying grounded and open despite her ongoing successes.
