Thanksgiving is for spending time with family and being thankful for what we have. One of the things we’re thankful for is Blue Bloods.
If you are anything like us here at Outsider, then you are a Blue Bloods fan through and through. And that means that you probably love actor Steve Schirripa just as much as we do. He stars in the show as Anthony Abetemarco — a retired detective with the New York City Police Department. In his current role, he serves Bridget’s Moynahan’s character, Erin Reagan, as an investigator for the New York County District Attorney’s Office. He became a series regular around Season 6, starring alongside the likes of Moynahan and other big names like Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, and Will Estes.
However, you may know the Blue Bloods star thanks to his time on another popular show. That would be The Sopranos. In that series, Schirripa portrayed mobster Bobby Baccalieri. He is also well known for his work in Fear, Loathing Las Vegas, and Must Love Dogs.
Needless to say, Steve Schirripa is a popular man. On Thursday, he made sure to stop by his local Thanksgiving parade. After that, he took to social media where he wished all of his loyal follows a happy holiday.
“Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!! Enjoy your day!!”
Meanwhile, Blue Bloods fans were some of the first to wish a happy Thanksgiving back to the star actor.
“Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!! Appreciate all you do!!! Thanks,” one fan commented.
“Happy Thanksgiving Schirripa family!!” said another Instagram user.
“What a beautiful couple!” a third fan chimed in. “Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope you and your family have a great day.”
‘Blue Bloods’ Star’s Favorite Food Spots in New York
Speaking of Thanksgiving, it’s also a time to eat some amazing food. That is one thing that Blue Bloods star Steve Schirripa knows all about.
Schirripa has always been a New York native, so he knows all of the best food spots. But ever since he has been starring on the CBS police procedural, he has found even more shops that he likes to go to. Nowadays, he finds himself eating sandwiches more and more. One of his favorite shops is Defonte’s in Red Hook. There is even a photo of him hanging on the wall in there. He explained as much to Inside Hook earlier this year.
“My picture is in most pizzerias and sandwich shops in New York City,” he said. “My go-to pizza is L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn. It’s the best. I’ve been eating it since I was five years old. For sandwiches, I like Defonte’s a lot.”
