There is no doubt that “Blue Bloods” fans are quite dedicated. But did they possibly forget about a rapper on the show?

It’s possible. According to an article from Looper, Method Man had a three-episode arc on the CBS police drama.

Method Man, whose birth name is Clifford Smith Jr., showed up in a Season 5 “Blue Bloods” episode called “New Rules.” He plays Mario Hunt, who gets questioned about a double murder.

Guess who’s handling that questioning? Detective Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, and Detective Maria Baez, played by Marisa Ramirez. It’s their case, though, and Danny is sure of Mario’s guilt.

He doesn’t have much evidence and sister Erin Reagan, who happens to be the Assistant District Attorney played by Bridget Moynahan, breaks some news. Danny has to let Mario go. We find Mario getting busy in the season 5 final episode where he orders a witness gets killed.

Well, “Blue Bloods” fans, you don’t think the Reagans are going to let this cat really go free? Nope. After the shooting, everyone in the family wants to get Mario in jail.

Our man Danny gets to him but the now-scared Mario is clinging to the side of a building. So, Danny tells Mario to fess up and he’ll save him. It all goes down safely and Mario is off to prison.

But he’s back again in Season 7. Method Man plays Mario yet again in an episode titled “In And Out.” NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan, played by Tom Selleck, has a gang war across the streets of New York. He needs help and is thinking about giving Mario an early pass if he can assist Frank.

What happens? Frank tells the feds that Mario has to go to a bad, bad prison. The catch is if Mario helps stop the gang action while in prison. Well, Mario’s no dummy and he said yes to the other deal.

That’s a “Blue Bloods” update for all of you fans. Is Method Man still acting and singing? That answer is yes to both. He’s going out and doing his thing. TV work finds him as part of the TBS comedy “The Last O.G.” starring
Tracy Morgan. Method Man’s movie credits include “187,” “Belly,” and “The Cobbler.”

“Blue Bloods” airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, on CBS. Other stars in the cast include Len Cariou, Will Estes, and Vanessa Ray. The show continues to follow the Reagan family as both police officers and civil workers.
