“Blue Bloods” aired a new episode on Friday titled “Be Smart or Be Dead” and the ratings are in. According to TV Line, the ratings were down a tenth from last week. The show went from 6.1 million viewers on Nov. 5 to 5.7 million on Nov. 12. That’s a drop of about 400 thousand viewers in one week, dropping 6.9% from last week.

There’s no real clue as to why the ratings dipped this time. There have been a few dips over the past 6 episodes, since the season 12 premiere suffered a bit coming off of season 11. There was an uptick of viewers around episodes 4 and 5, but then the dip at this most recent episode.

Hopefully, “Blue Bloods” can pick it back up again and keep their ratings steady. It’s hard to do that with a show that’s been on for 12 seasons; that means writers constantly have to come up with new storylines to further the characters and please fans. It’s difficult, but here’s hoping “Blue Bloods” can satisfy its viewers and stay on.

‘Blue Bloods’: Will Bridget Moynahan Leave the Show?

Recently, it was announced that Bridget Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan on “Blue Bloods,” will reprise her role as Natasha Naginsky in the “Sex and the City” revival. That got fans wondering if she was going to leave “Blue Bloods” to pursue another project.

The short answer: no, it doesn’t look like she’ll be leaving the show any time soon. She seems dedicated to her character, and it’s possible she wants to see the storyline out. Season 12 basically just started, so it would be weird for her to suddenly leave the show high and dry.

It’s possible that she worked the revival around her “Blue Bloods” filming schedule. Also possible, is that she only appears in a few episodes of the revival and didn’t have to dedicate a lot of time to filming. What also helps is that both shows are filmed on location in New York City, so it could only be a matter of driving a short distance to another set.

What it comes down to, is that it looks like Bridget Moynahan will keep playing Erin Reagan on “Blue Bloods” for a while.

Eddie Meets Her New Partner in Recent Episode

Eddie Janko had to get a new partner after she married Jamie, and now she has to do it again after Rachel Witten left the force. Her new partner is Luis Badillo, played by Ian Quinlan, and Badillo has a lot of opinions about the Reagan family legacy.

The two actually fight each other, and Jamie has to break it up. What’s even more interesting, is that Jamie is the one who recommended Badillo. He thought the two would work well together, but things are going to boil over quickly. Fans will have to wait and see how this new partnership plays out.
