‘Blue Bloods’: Why Things Are About to Get Real Intense for Erin Reagan Next Week

by Joe Rutland

If you have been waiting for Erin Reagan’s situation to heat up on Blue Bloods, then you’re in luck because that is happening now.

Reagan, played by Bridget Moynahan, is in the crosshairs of her boss in the District Attorney’s office.

Let’s get into it with a little help from Matt & Jess.

In last Friday’s episode, Erin, who is the Assistant District Attorney, took the initiative and was taking action where she felt she was doing the right thing.

‘Blue Bloods’ Character Takes Action That Does Not Please Crawford At All

With this action, some people might think Erin was trying to make an enemy out of District Attorney Kimberly Crawford, played by Roslyn Ruff.

Reagan was not thinking about what was right in Crawford’s eyes on Blue Bloods last Friday night.

So, Crawford sees Reagan’s actions as a way to help her potential future run for the Manhattan DA role.

Outsiders, we don’t expect the Reagan-Crawford working relationship to improve.

Crawford has shipped low-pay cases toward Reagan. Maybe that’s her way to make a statement and tell Erin indirectly who is the boss.

Hopefully, Erin can make a decision before this season ends. That would be quite the cliffhanger to finish another great Blue Bloods season.

This week’s episode will air on Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, on CBS. Tom Selleck stars as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan. Other cast members include Donnie Wahlberg, Vanessa Ray, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, Will Estes, and Steve Schirripa.

Bridget Moynahan Said Show’s Cast Members ‘Appreciate the Job’

Moynahan has been a part of Blue Bloods since its first season.

The actress appeared in the movie Coyote Ugly and also in the HBO sitcom Sex and the City.

And the key factor that helps “fuel” Blue Bloods is the cast itself.

She said that the show has “a team of actors who really appreciate the job and each other.

“We know how lucky we are to be on this show — and such a long-running show at that,” Moynahan said. “It doesn’t come around that often, so when you’re working with people who express gratitude, it just fuels the show. Everybody wants to show up and do their best work.”

Moynahan, 50, talked about why she still enjoys playing Erin.

“It all has to do with the writing and new, more complicated storylines,” she said.

Eddie Meets New Partner After Witten Leaves Police Force

Another story we’re following on Blue Bloods involves Eddie Janko-Reagan, who met her new partner.

He’s Luis Badillo and is played by Ian Quinlan

Jamie recommended him for the job.

But Eddie and Badillo are getting in each other’s faces.

In fact, they got into a fight and Jamie had to break up.
