A few weeks ago, Vanessa Ray’s Eddie Janko was left in the lurch when her partner decided to leave the force. With Witten (Lauren Patton) out of the picture, Eddie needs a replacement. It looks like that’s exactly what she’s going to get on tomorrow’s episode of Blue Bloods.
Last week we got a glimpse into the married life of Will Este’s Jamie Reagan and former partner-turned-wife Eddie Janko. Things came to a head when Eddie’s ex-convict dad showed up on the doorstep. Ever the forgiving daughter, Eddie invited him to stay with the couple. That went over about as well as you’d expect. There was some clear tension between the husband and wife.
This week, things may get even worse. Will Estes’ character makes a recommendation for Eddie’s partner. He gave it some thought and came to the conclusion that Luis Badillo (Ian Quinlan) would be an excellent fit for his wife.
Well, that may not be the case, after all. The Blue Bloods star talked to TV Line about the dynamic between the two new partners.
“He thought they would complement each other, but they’re like oil and water. Later, that will come to a head,” Estes told the outlet.
It’s a tale as old as time. Sometimes, when people are too similar, the only thing that comes out of their interaction is conflict. Luis Badillo is reportedly a hostile partner from the beginning, and naturally, they fight.
Don’t Hold it Against Jamie, He’s Got A Lot on His Mind in the Upcoming Episode of ‘Blue Bloods’
Brace yourselves, Donnie devotees. Wahlberg’s Detective Danny Reagan will reportedly find himself in significant danger come Friday’s episode.
It seems that a ghost from Danny’s past is coming back to haunt him in the episode titled “Be Smart or Be Dead.” A gangster puts a contract out on the detective’s head. And when criminals are openly hunting police officers, you know things are serious.
In response to the threat, Tom Selleck’s Frank Reagan makes a decision that we’re sure will delight Blue Bloods fans to no end. He puts Jamie on Danny’s security detail. Oh yeah. That means he’s going to be sleeping in the same room and everything—shades of childhood sleepovers.
Donnie Wahlberg’s character struggles to understand the need for his little brother’s presence despite the threat.
“As you can imagine, it goes over like a lead balloon with Danny that Jamie’s going to be his ‘handler.’ Danny doesn’t take orders so well, and Jamie is just trying to make the best of it,” Estes continued in the TV Line interview. “There is real danger.”
