Yesterday, star of Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos, Bob Saget, passed away. Today, his daughter, Aubrey shared their last texts messages.
On Sunday, the 34-year-old posted a screenshot of the text exchange from the actor in an Instagram Story post. The message read: “Thank u. Love u. Showtime!”
When the Full House actor spoke with People Magazine back in January 2016, he raved about his three daughters. “They’re the light of my life,” he’d stated. “I am a fortunate man in that all three of my daughters are exceptional. They’re high beings, very smart people, very wonderful and very brilliant, very beautiful. They’re all artists.”
The comedian was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida. He was in the middle of his I Don’t Do Negative stand-up tour, which was scheduled to continue throughout springtime.
After his Saturday performance, Bob Saget posted a selfie to his Instagram. His final post read: “Okay, I loved tonight’s show @pontevedra_concerthall in Jacksonville. Really nice audience. Lots of positivity. Happened last night in Orlando last night at the Hard Rock Live too. Very appreciative and fun audiences. Thanks again to @comediantimwilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a two-hour set tonight.”
The night before his death, Bob Saget performed at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall outside of Jacksonville, Florida.
Full House Cast Release Joint Statement on Bob Saget’s Death
In a statement released on Monday, the cast of Full House shared a statement on their late costar’s passing. Saget’s costar, Dave Coulier, posted the statement to his Instagram.
“Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family. And now we grieve as a family. Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls, and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly. We ask in Bob’s honor, hug the people you love. No one gave better hugs than Bob.” ~ John, Dave, Candace, Jodie, Lori, Andrea, Scott, Jeff, Ashley, and Mary-Kate.
Following the news of Saget’s death, his family released a statement. “We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today. He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”
