Bob Saget, ‘Full House’ Star, Dies at 65: Report

“Full House” star Bob Saget, who many referred to as “America’s Dad,” has reportedly passed away. The iconic actor was 65-years-old.

Multiple sources close to Saget told TMZ that he passed away on Sunday. He was reportedly at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.

Earlier today, around 4 PM, the local Sheriff’s Department, as well as first responders, came to the hotel room after security found the actor in his room unresponsive. Bob Saget was announced dead on the scene. Right now there is no cause of death.

The comedian had been on tour. He was going throughout Florida. That tour started back in September and the last shows were to take place in May. Saturday night the comedian was in Jacksonville performing at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

In one of his final posts, Bob Saget posted a tweet thanking the Jacksonville crowd. He performed for 2 hours and said, “I’m happily addicted again to this [comedy] sh-t.” He encouraged fans to check out his website for tour dates.

Of course, Saget is best known for his roles on television. The star of shows such as Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos he built a career on being a “dad” figure.” He worked with so many talented actors and actresses throughout the years.

During his career, Bob Saget became an icon. In the late 1980s, he made himself into a charismatic and wholesome figure. As Danny Tanner on Full House, he was a sweet, understanding, funny, and loveable father figure. The show was big enough that Netflix brought the series back with Fuller House in 2016.

While he was riding the early popularity of the sitcom, Saget was selected as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos. He carried with him a presence that was once again comforting and familiar.

As far as his stand-up career, the comedian was very successful. In 2014, his album, That’s What I’m Talkin’ About, earned a Grammy Nomination. The same year he was nominated for a Grammy, the actor performed on The Dirty Daddy Tour.

More recently, Saget was featured on The Masked Singer and had been working on a podcast series, Bob Saget’s Here for You.

During his career, Bob Saget was a multi-faceted star that entered our hearts and homes and was responsible for lots of smiles and laughs along the way as well. Bob Saget will be missed by fans, family, and of course, his loved ones.
