In the beloved comedian’s last post to social media, Bob Saget said he was finding his “new voice and loving every moment of it.”
Less than 17 hours before his death, Bob Saget was feeling on top of the world. “I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26,” he wrote on Instagram the night of Saturday, January 8. “I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it.”
The comedy icon was then found dead in his Florida hotel room. “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” revealed Orange Co.’s Sheriff’s Office on Twitter Sunday evening.
Mere hours prior, Saget’s full post showed the face and words of a man who felt in his prime. He was doing what he loved – right until the very end.
Bob Saget’s Last Post to Instagram is Heartbreaking in Light of His Sudden Death
“Okay, I loved tonight’s show @pontevedra_concerthall in Jacksonville,” his Instagram post began. “Really nice audience. Lots of positivity. Happened last night in Orlando last night at the Hard Rock Live too. Very appreciative and fun audiences. Thanks again to @comediantimwilkins for opening,” he continued.
“I had no idea I did a two hour set tonight. I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it. A’ight, see you in two weeks Jan. 28 & 29 @pbimprov with my brother @therealmikeyoung. And check BobSaget.com for my dates in 2022 – – Goin’ everywhere until I get the special shot. And then probably keep going cause I’m addicted to this shit. Peace out.”
Having the words above as the beloved icon’s last to the world is beyond poetic. And he’ll be sorely missed.
