Candace Cameron Bure: The Hallmark Queen of Christmas
Candace Cameron Bure is not just known for playing DJ Tanner on “Fuller House.” She is also known as one of Hallmark Channel’s leading ladies. Starring in 29 of the network’s films, she always tries to bring something different to each role she’s in.
“There’s always pressure to not have a repeat story; the repeat beats, the same tropes that you can fall into with a Hallmark film,” Bure says. “There’s pressure, but I’m very aware of what those elements are and try my best to make it fresh and new every year.”
Bure’s latest film on The Hallmark Channel is called “This Christmas Contest.” Starring alongside her “Fuller House” costar John Brotherton, Bure faces off against her ex in a charity baking competition. She hopes that viewers enjoy this film as much as others in the past.
“I take great pride and joy in my movies and in showing them to the viewers and hope that they love them. “But it’s not just me being a hired actor by Hallmark coming into these; it’s a much bigger process for me than that, so that’s why I do have a lot of pride in creating the best product I can.”
