On Wednesday afternoon, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune shared a still shot from Sunday’s upcoming episode that revealed this week’s three new celebrity contestants.
The celebrity version of the popular game show returned for its second season in late September. It follows the show welcoming famous contestants to spin the wheel for the first time earlier this year in January during Season 1. Now, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune is in primetime during its weekly slot on Sunday nights.
The game show has already had numerous celebrity contestants play to win money for their favorite charities. In fact, Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart became the first contestant to win $1 million for charity on the show. However, we’ve got a new lineup of Hollywood’s finest this weekend, including TV stars Brooke Burns, James Pickens, and figure skating legend Johnny Weir.
Brooke Burns is no stranger to game shows, so it’ll be interesting to see how she performs. Burns is the host of ABC’s The Chase, which also stars iconic Jeopardy! contestants Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer.
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune is also welcoming actor James Pickens Jr., which will surely excite Grey’s Anatomy fans. He’s portrayed Dr. Richard Webber since the ABC medical drama’s premiere in 2005, along with numerous other roles on various TV programs.
Finally, famed figure skater and commentator Johnny Weir will round out the selection of contestants. He’s a two-time Olympian who’s the 2001 World Junior Champion and a three-time U.S. National champion. He also began working as an Olympics commentator for NBC in 2014.
“These celebrity contestants are ready to breeze through the #CelebrityWheelofFortune puzzles on an all-new episode Sunday and Stream on Hulu!” the game show’s Instagram account wrote.
‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’: Here’s Who Won the Latest Episode
As for this past weekend’s primetime episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, one famous contestant walked away the big winner on Sunday night.
Per usual, the last episode was chock-full of celebrity contestants. Full House star Jodie Sweetin, My Big Fat Greek Wedding actress Nia Vardalos, and actor and game show host John Michael Higgins each competed for their respective charities.
Sweetin was down early to Vardalos but came back strong to take the lead and win a trip to the Bonus Round. By the time the game show ended, Sweetin had earned her chosen charity a whopping $54,000 donation.
The winnings went to the nonprofit organization Girls Inc., which works with young women aged 5-18 years old. “Girls learn to value their whole selves, discover and develop their inherent strengths, and receive the support they need to navigate the challenges they face,” the Girls Inc. website says.
“We’re all smiles because @JodieSweetin is bringing home money for @girlsinc! #CelebrityWheelOfFortune,” the account wrote on Instagram.
