Much like other actors have done, Chicago Fire alumnus Monica Raymund is getting ready for a new project she’s directing.

Raymund, who played Gabby Dawson for eight seasons, took time out and shared a picture and some info on Instagram.

Raymund writes, “Be sure to tune in tonight to THE SINNER! 10/9C on @usa_network Directing the finale of @thesinnerusa was such an honor. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew on beautiful storytelling and masterful production. A pleasure sailing with such a killer Captain! Extra thank you to @cinema_chef for inviting me into the family and shooting such a dope finale by my side.”

Yes, Outsiders, her episode will be on USA Network on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.

As for the Chicago Fire alum, she is busy not only directing but acting in another series. You can see Raymund in Hightown on the Starz movie channel.

Besides those series, Raymund also appeared in Lie to Me and The Good Wife.

‘Chicago Fire’ Star Opens Up About Possibly Returning To First-Responder Drama

Let’s get back to the possibility that Raymund returns to the NBC show’s lineup.

Earlier this season, Jesse Spencer left Chicago Fire after 10 seasons.

But Raymund had some words to say about Spencer’s departure. The actress spoke with Deadline.

“I wish Jesse all the best,” she said. “I love him so much. They were so lucky to have him and I’m excited to see what he does next.”

Fans are still weeping over Matt Casey’s departure.

Spencer and showrunners are still open to having her return. She made guest appearances in Seasons 7 and 8 on Chicago Fire. The actress made plans to come back in Season 9 but the pandemic nixed it.

What would she have done on Chicago Fire? Gotten involved in Casey and Sylvie Brett’s relationship.

As for coming back later on, Raymund says, “I never close the door on Gabriela Dawson…I never say no to an opportunity to tell stories.”

Actor on NBC Show Spent Years Trying To Get On At Primetime Level

Imagine working for a role on a top primetime show, then leaving.

Actress Adriyan Rae joined Chicago Fire after working toward this goal for a long time. She showed up on the show in Season 9.

She played Gianna Mackey, a paramedic.

People said she spent two years auditioning for different parts within the One Chicago franchise. Eventually, she auditioned for the part of Gianna and everything seemed to work out perfectly. Rae only appeared in Season 9 and left.
