Earlier this month, Deadline confirmed that the alum would appear in a dark, new comedy entitled “Daddy.” However, he won’t be going at the role alone.

Alongside Sardarov, “Daddy” plans to feature current “Chicago Fire” star, Stella Kidd actress Miranda Rae Mayo, as well. Her excursion onto the set of the new film previously worried fans that the actress might be leaving Firehouse 51 for good. However, thanks to the ever-dependable showrunner, Derek Haas, it’s been confirmed Stella is back on “Chicago Fire” for good.

Nevertheless, Sardarov and Mayo built quite a friendship during their time together on “Chicago Fire.” That said, it will definitely be interesting to see the two stars take to screens within their latest project.

For Outsiders interested in potentially viewing the new film, the outlet revealed “Daddy” takes a different approach to parenting in our current society. The movie is set in a dystopian society where government and parenthood are directly linked. Essentially, the government winds up determining which of four men have the potential to become fathers. Overall, the former “Chicago Fire” actor’s new role lies in stark contrast to his role as “Otis.”
