‘Chicago Fire’: Gallo Actor Alberto Rosende Announces Engagement

by Madison Miller

Alberto Rosende, who plays Blake Gallo on “Chicago Fire,” shared some absolutely amazing news with his fans on Christmas.

He shared a boomerang video on his Instagram Stories that was of his long-time girlfriend Tessa Mossey. He casually wrote, “Ladies and gentleman… My fiancée @Tessamossey.”

‘Chicago Fire’ Star Is Engaged

This was the first time the news of their engagement was shared. Meanwhile, Mossey also confirmed the news on her own Instagram page as well. She shared a video of Rosende dancing around happily with the caption, “Aaaaaaand my fiancé.”

So, where did the now engaged happy couple meet?

The two met on the set of the Freeform show “Shadowhunters,” which they both starred in. They are said to have officially started dating in 2018 and then announced their engagement over the holiday season.

The two have yet to confirm exactly how the engagement and the proposal happened. Both of them posted on their Instagram Stories, but nothing is posted within their regular accounts yet.

Meanwhile, over on “Chicago Fire,” his love life isn’t quite as straightforward. During season nine of the show, Blake Gallo had some flirtation going on with the team’s new paramedic Gianna Mackey (Adiyan Rae).

Nothing really came from the sparks between the two characters, however. She ended up leaving the firehouse. As she left, she was replaced by Gallo’s ex, Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith). From there, it all just got more complicated. He has also dated Clara, his brewer’s assistant.

Cookbook from Cast of ‘One Chicago’ World

Love and engagement isn’t the only thing that was shared during the holiday season from the “One Chicago” world.

There was a free digital download of the “One Chicago Holiday Cookbook.” It features a number of recipes as well as family anecdotes from the cast of “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” and “Chicago P.D.”

“For ten years, you’ve invited us into your living rooms … it’s our turn to invite you into our kitchens to share some tasty treats and family secrets,” writes Dick Wolf, creator and executive producer of the series, in the cookbook’s foreword, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

It includes recipes from stars like Daniel Kyri, Brian Tee, Guy Lockard, Marina Squerciati, and Jason Beghe.

Meanwhile, if your New Year’s resolution is to watch more of season 10 of “Chicago Fire,” you’re in luck. The show has been on winter break and left fans with some serious questions. Stella and Severide’s relationship is really up in the air. Pelham has been offered the lieutenant spot on Truck 81. This makes us wonder, will Stella completely leave Firehouse 51.

The return date for “Chicago Fire” is January 5. That means we didn’t really have to wait long at all this year.
