How did Chicago Fire help Taylor Kinney have a “get out of jail free card”?

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he first spoke about the real-life incident in Chicago. He explained that in Chicago you can’t split lanes in a motorcycle whereas you can in California. He was sharing the lane while trying to get to an exit. The officer was angry and told him to, “Get the hell off of the road.”

He later dove into the story in a discussion with Kelly Clarkson on her talk show. He recounted the entire event.

“It was raining, it was cold, the traffic was really really bad,” he recalled. “So I hopped off onto the median to the right side (of the road) and just started passing all the traffic, all the cars, in what would be either a bus or service lane.”

“I think, ‘I’m going to get ticketed and in trouble…,'” he continued. “The police officer walks up, I take my helmet off, and he goes, ‘Oh it’s you, the fake firefighter’. We had a laugh and a chuckle and he made fun of me a little bit, and then he let me go. He said, ‘Get home safe, don’t do that again. And I like the show.’ “

“That’s my get out of jail free card,” he concluded. Hopefully, he won’t be sharing lanes in Chicago anymore.

Monica Raymund on Returning to ‘Chicago Fire’

Beloved Chicago Fire star Monica Raymund discussed Jesse Spencer’s departure with Deadline.

“I wish Jesse all the best. I love him so much,” she said of her former co-star. “They were so lucky to have him and I’m excited to see what he does next.”

While fans are disappointed in Matt Casey’s exit from Chicago Fire, there is hope on the horizon. The showrunners and Spencer have hinted that he could eventually return to the show and Firehouse 51.

While one door closes, another opens, and Raymund is back to filming. She previously appeared as a guest star during Seasons 7 and 8. She planned on returning at the beginning of Season 9. However, with the pandemic, she was unable to do so. The outlet reported that if she did return, her character would have dove into Sylvie Brett’s new relationship. Fans will recall that Gabby Dawson was previously married to captain and Brett’s best friend. Fans were delighted to learn about her return to the show after losing such a pivotal character like Casey. While no one can replace him or his character, the show did add a familiar face that thrilled fans.

“I never close the door on Gabriela Dawson,” she added. “I never say no to an opportunity to tell stories.”
