“Chicago Med” ended their fall season with quite a dramatic conclusion. The last moments of the final episode saw members of the FBI overrunning the hospital during holiday celebrations. Now, federal agents investigate goings-on at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. With that, the series’ January return promises an onslaught of challenges on Goodwin’s behalf.
Goodwin certainly has a lot to handle with her position within the hospital. However, she’s sure to see more trouble than ever following the hit show’s midseason finale.
As CarterMatt highlights, Goodwin emphasized she would take the heat when the time came for law enforcement’s involvement. That’s in regard to Halstead’s involvement within the Vas-COM scandal. Overall, the move pointed to her level of dedication to and professionalism within her staff. In the greatest of challenges, Goodwin took responsibility as the characters’ highest point of authority.
However, the outlet revealed her decision ultimately leads to new workplace challenges on her part. Check out season seven, episode 10’s synopsis.
“In the aftermath of the VasCom scandal, Goodwin clashes with the hospital’s new compliance officer.”
Overall, we can assure Outsiders that the backlash from the scandal will not go easy on Goodwin. Nor will it go easy on any of the other involved characters. The fact means the remainder of the season will see more drama as the “Chicago Med” characters navigate this challenge.
Meanwhile, the rest of the synopsis reads, “Crockett and Blake try to save a patient who has a son with severe autism. A patient’s son lies to his father about his diagnosis.”
Already, it seems our “Chicago Med” cast members plan to return to screens with a fiery, new plot.
