As the cast and crew of Good Sam heads into their two-week winter break, Chicago PD alum Sophia Bush is feeling blessed.
“This crew is such a gift,” she wrote on Instagram.
Today, Sophia Bush’s new medical drama wrapped up for 2021. For the past few months, the actors have been busy filming the first six episodes of Good Sam, which should drop early next month.
By the looks of Bush’s social media page, the actors celebrated the holidays before going home for the season. And the actress captured a few snapshots of the festivities.
“From our sweet circus of weirdos and artists, to each of you and yours, Happy Holidays,” she wrote alongside three of the pics.
As Sophia Bush wrote in her caption, she is excited to go home and spend some time with her friends and family.
However, the former One Tree Hill star admitted that she’s already excited to get back to work—even though her break hasn’t even begun.
Sophia Bush is so happy with her new project that she actually can’t wait for the holidays to be over so she can get back to the set. She must really like her job.
“I also feel pinch-me level fortunate to know that in two weeks I’ll be back here with all of these folks,” she continued. “This is a team that makes me laugh constantly, makes long days feel like a party, and makes creating something special and nuanced so much fun. They’re one in a million. They make #GoodSam GREAT.
‘Chicago PD’ Star Sophia Bush is Starring in New Medical Drama ‘Good Sam’
Five years after Sophia Bush’s dramatic exit from Chicago PD, the starlet has found her next big break.
According to CBS, Bush landed the lead role of Dr. Samantha Griffith in Good Sam. The medical drama will follow Sam as she becomes the new chief of surgery at Lakeshore Sentinel Hospital. Sam finds herself in the position after her boss—who also happens to be her father—falls into a coma.
However, things get difficult for the doctor after her father wakes up and demands to resume his chiefly duties. But to his dismay, Sam holds on to her new job. So she must learn how to supervise her egotistical dad, who has never recognized his own daughter’s talents. And through all of that, the two will learn to work through their broken relationship.
Good Sam also stars Jason Isaacs, Michael Stahl-David, Edwin Hodge, and Davi Santos. The series is set to premiere on January 5, 2022.
