In a new clip from a Chicago PD episode, Burgess and Ruzek have a really difficult conversation. Burgess worries that their coworker and friend Sal has been stealing crucial evidence. Ruzek doesn’t take this lightly and has trouble wrapping his head around the whole thing.

“That’s a hell of an accusation to toss around,” Ruzek warns. But Burgess has some good points and a ton of evidence.

“I didn’t want to believe it either,” she says at one point in the conversation. “Come on.”

Burgess has tons of evidence, but Ruzek simply refuses to hear it because Sal is his friend. Sal is financially ruined and has tons of motivation to steal the watches. Plus the security footage looks incredibly dicy for him. But Ruzek feels that it’s “not who he is.”

You can watch the tough conversation between the two characters below.

A Lot Fans Love Burgess

Fans of the show sounded off in the comments, and a lot of them are very big fans of Burgess and want to see her get more credit at her work.

“It saddens me that Burgess shows so much initiative she’s thorough and never looks at things at face value yet she’s still an ‘officer’ after 9 seasons she and Atwater should have been promoted to detectives long ago,” one fan wrote.

“All that info Burgess has is the reason why I think she’s probably one of the best cop in PD probably behind Halstead,” another fan commented.

Other fans noted that Ruzek’s judgment is definitely off here. And he’s thinking more emotionally here than he is logically.

“Ruzek is a loyal friend and I appreciate that about him, but that’s a hell of a lot of evidence to ignore,” a fan wrote.

‘Chicago PD’ Fans Recently got Some Far More Exciting News

Betrayals are difficult to watch, but weddings are far more fun. So fans were thrilled to see Halstead and Upton get married in the mid-season finale last December. And now that they’re back in action, they have broken the news to the rest of the team in an incredibly fun and casual way.

And despite the fact that they’re now married, it doesn’t seem like much has changed between the two. The recent episode saw everyone in the office gradually learn of the wedding.

The next episode will deal with whether or not the team can really trust Atwater, so it’ll be a big one for fans of the series. If you want to catch it when it airs, all Chicago PD episodes air on Wednesday Nights at 10/9 central. If you want to see the other two shows in the One Chicago franchise, you’ll have to tune in a bit sooner. Chicago MD airs at 8/7 Central and Chicago Fire airs at 9/8 Central.
