‘Chicago PD’: Could Tracy Spiridakos be Leaving the Show?

by Joe Rutland

OK, Outsiders, Chicago PD actress Tracy Spiridakos is facing tough times with her character. Will she be leaving the NBC drama?

Let’s take a look and see what’s going down. According to an article from Matt & Jess, Hailey Upton, played by Spiridakos, is having some issues. Is she leaving right away? No.

At the end of Season 8, Upton and Voight, played by Jason Beghe, killed suspect Roy Walton. Their police partner Officer Kim Burgess, played by Marina Squerciati, is wounded when Walton shoots her.

Well, Voight killed Walton but Upton has a role in the cover-up.

‘Chicago PD’ Character Is Finding Herself Dealing With FBI Pressure On Walton Case

These days, Chicago PD is dealing with FBI pressure on this case.

What the FBI keeps trying to do is make the point that Voight is a dangerous dude. The agency wants Upton to change her tune. A reminder: Hailey once worked for the feds, too. Yet she’s dealing with Voight and Jay Halstead, played by Jesse Lee Soffer.

Also, Voight and Halstead do things differently.

It could be that Upton, Halstead, and Voight get no punishment right now. Time is still ticking, though.

Chicago PD is part of the “One Chicago” franchise that airs on Wednesdays on NBC. Catch PD, Chicago Med, and Chicago Fire on the same night.

Jesse Lee Soffer Talks About Halstead Being ‘Suspicious’ of Upton Marriage Proposal

Heading into this season, Soffer’s Halstead had a marriage proposal to consider from Upton.

What’s he going to do? Soffer talks about it with TVLine.

Soffer said Halstead has loved Hailey for a long time. And “when this happens, he’s a little taken aback, like, ‘Where’s this coming from? This feels a little out of the blue, but OK, great,'” he said about the Chicago PD storyline.

Then we had things go a little bit crazy.

Soffer said Halstead’s spidey sense started going off. Halstead is “a little suspicious of…she’s acting strange,” he said.

Could Halstead Be Finding Himself As Part Of A Crossover From ‘PD to ‘Med’?

Twitter can cause some problems for people. When it comes to fans reaching out to their favorite TV shows, then it might be a different situation.

Recently, a fan sent something asking Jay Halstead to come to help his brother on Chicago Med. Wolf Entertainment sent back a tweet, saying, “Perhaps @jesseleesoffer will pop over to #ChicagoMed soon?”

No timeframe was given around if or when Halstead would appear on Med.

Will it happen or not? Outsiders, we really don’t know at this time. The “One Chicago” franchise gives those characters a chance to appear on different shows. We will just have to sit and ponder Halstead’s next move.
