Chicago P.D. is one of the fan-favorite shows on television right now. Speaking of which, there is one character that fans really miss on the show.

For those of you Outsiders who don’t know, Chicago P.D. is another creation of the great Dick Wolf. The show is a police procedural action drama that is a part of Wolf Entertainment’s Chicago franchise (Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med). The show follows the uniformed patrol officers and the Intelligence Unit of the 21st District of the Chicago Police Department. The team works together to apprehend dangerous criminals in the city.

The ninth season of Chicago P.D. aired back in September. Since that time, fans have been sharing their thoughts on social media and on popular forums like Reddit. One fan did just that on Saturday with a post titled, “Did anyone else like Roman?”

They are referring to Sean Roman, a former patrol officer for the Chicago Police Department. He was portrayed by actor Brian Geraghty.

“Reading around I’ve seen some threads that didn’t like him in seasons 2-3, but I thought some of the best episodes in the series were when Roman was a part of the unit. Maybe it’s just me, but I actually enjoyed the Roman character and his storylines/episodes when he was on the show!”

‘Chicago P.D.’ Fans Respond to Reddit Post

There’s no question that Officer Roman was a polarizing character during his time on Chicago P.D. The character made appearances in Season 2, Season 3, and then also in Season 7. It seems like there’s a large group of fans online who really liked his character.

“Yes. He was a great character. I miss the days of Roman and Kim on patrol,” one fan responded. “Bummer that when he made a guest appearance the outcome was so sad.”

“Meeee,” a second fan replied. “I didn’t like him when I first started watching but he made Kim an even better cop and I loved their banter. I do wish their partnership was strictly platonic though.”

“I liked his character,” wrote a third user. “I thought he added some normalcy to the craziness of Chicago P.D.” I know Geraghty wanted to leave, but when he came back I hated what they put his character through.”

Meanwhile, not everyone agreed. There was one Reddit user who was “on the fence” about him.

“Ehhh, I was always on the fence about him. He had some really great police moments and he’s a real stand up guy for offering to donate his bone marrow (I think it was?) to the sick kid, however, he was a real hothead sometimes and I think he’s the reason Kim was so insecure in her relationship with Adam. He kept planting seeds of doubt in her mind and she ran wild with them.”
