We guess, Outsiders, that Chicago PD star Jesse Lee Soffer has a bit of trouble within himself around remaining “cool” in his life.

What is going on here?

Soffer, who plays Detective Jay Halstead on the NBC police procedural, went to Twitter seeking some answers.

Here is what he sent out on the social media platform on Saturday.

So, what type of answers did Soffer receive?

Chicago PD fan Mia writes, “You’ll always be cool Jesse :) haha”.

Another fan, Phae, said, “depends on the gear and the person’s character”.

Then fan Kristina writes, “You’re cool everyday Jesse”.

Maybe some of his industry friends got in touch with him off Twitter.

Who knows? Well, we do know that Halstead keeps butting heads with Hank Voight, played by Jason Beghe.

Chicago PD is on a bit of a hiatus right now. But you can mark it down that the show will return in 2022.

‘Chicago PD’ Star Talks About What Happens After Winter Break

It is the wintertime and Chicago PD will get back in gear in January 2022.

But what about the murder storyline involving Roy Walton?

That’s one that still needs some attention. Soffer knows this and he talked about it in an interview with TV Insider.

“I’ll be totally honest with you,” he said. “We spent so much time in the first part of the season doing the Roy and North storyline that after that storyline is over, I think a lot of the storyline shifts to some of the other characters and what’s going on in their lives. Atwater has a relationship that he hasn’t been totally forthcoming in.”

The opportunity is there to take a back seat of sorts and recalibrate. A lot of oxygen has been spent on these two characters so it makes sense that they would change gears a bit here towards the end of things.

“So we spend a lot more time with those characters and we start building some of those storylines out and we leave the marriage to the side,” Soffer said.

An Instagram moment from the Chicago PD account left fans of the show asking if Soffer was leaving.

This left Chicago PD fans wondering if Soffer is considering leaving the show. One fan writes, “You better not be leaving!!”

According to One Chicago Center, Soffer’s Chicago PD character Halstead has been dealing with some major life changes during the show’s ninth season. The character is only struggling with the trauma from his military past, he also recently discovered that Upton, played by Tracy Spiridakos, has been working with Voight to cover up the Roy Walton murder.
