Jim Carrey is mourning the loss of friend and comedian Bob Saget in his latest tweet: “He had a big big heart and warped comic mind.”

America lost a comedy legend yesterday. “Full House” star Bob Saget passed away on Sunday after a weekend of comedy performances. First responders found Saget unresponsive in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.

The comedian’s fans and friends alike are mourning the loss of “America’s Dad.” Jim Carrey is one of these friends. In a Twitter post, Carrey shares with fans a touching tribute, paired with a throwback photo of the stars.

“Beautiful Bob Saget passed away today at 65,” he writes. “He had a big, big heart and a wonderfully warped comic mind. He gave the world a lot of joy and lived his life for goodness’ sake. :’^}”

Fans know that the two comedians were lifelong friends. Acting alongside each other in movies like Dumb and Dumber: When Harry Met Lloyd (2003), the stars were fond of each other’s work as well as personalities.

Fans are mourning alongside Carrey in the Twitter thread.

“Rest in Eternal Paradise Sir. You were a wonderful, funny, loving, caring husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. On top of being America’s funny man,” one tweets.

“I was so sad when I heard this. He was such a part of my childhood. Then I grew up and discovered he was still there, and funnier than ever. #RipBobSaget,” another writes.

One fan even brings up a special comedy performance both men were a part of.

“This brings me back the memories when You, Bob Saget, and all other talented comedians appeared at The 20th anniversary of The Comedy Store.”

Bob Saget’s Final Instagram Post

Just one day before his death, Bob Saget made an inspiring post on Instagram. After a string of shows in Florida, the comedian shared with fans that he was “finding his new voice and loving every moment of it.”

“Okay, I loved tonight’s show @pontevedra_concerthall in Jacksonville. Really nice audience. Lots of positivity. Happened last night in Orlando last night at the Hard Rock Live too. Very appreciative and fun audiences. Thanks again to @comediantimwilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a two hour set tonight. I had no idea I did a two-hour set tonight. I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it.”

The comedian went on to share even more excitement about being back on the road: “Goin’ everywhere until I get the special shot. And then probably keep going cause I’m addicted to this shit.”

He will truly be missed.
