Sara and Grissom have been busy little bees on “CSI: Vegas.” Currently, they’re still investigating the Hodges case while the other CSIs investigate crime-of-the-week cases. Grissom and Sara are hard at work, which led them to recently uncover who was behind the Hodges frame-up; a former medical examiner named Martin Kline.
But, it didn’t seem like Kline was the mastermind behind it all. He proved that when he called someone after paying Sara a visit at the crime lab. He said over the phone, “They know. This will have to be dealt with.” It was dealt with all right. The episode ended with Kline blown up and his house burned down. There goes all of the evidence.
All is not lost on “CSI: Vegas”, though, as Grissom found something in the wreckage that the arsonist missed. So, they’re back on track and not completely derailed, at least. Can’t have them solving the case too soon, there’s 5 more episodes to go, after all.
There is one potential suspect who Grissom and Sara met while investigating; Dr. Patel Abbas, who gave himself away by possibly warning Kline that the CSIs were onto him. Kline told Sara that they have a “mutual acquaintance” in Abbas, which spells trouble. Mostly because Abbas told Grissom and Sara that he can’t stand Kline. So, either he’s lying, or Kline was lying, but someone somewhere isn’t telling the whole truth.
Episode 6, titled “Funhouse,” will deal with a murder at a clown-themed hotel and the aftermath of Kline’s death. The episode airs next Wednesday at 10 on CBS.
‘CSI: Vegas’: Jorja Fox Says There’s Something ‘Really Beautiful’ About Sara and Maxine
Sara Sidle is a familiar face on “CSI: Vegas,” while Maxine is brand new to the franchise. But, according to Jorja Fox, their relationship blossomed immediately. “There was something really beautiful about the relationship out of the gate between Sara and Maxine,” said Fox. “I think they were both women that had been in the trenches for a long time.”
Fox goes on to explain that sometimes, even when you meet someone for the first time, you can look at them and feel like you’ve known them forever. Same with “CSI: Vegas.” “That was there in the beginning,” she said, “but I also think Sara does not want to jeopardize Maxine’s place in the lab, nor would she ever want to usurp that authority.”
Sara has been there from the beginning, after all. But she respects Maxine as a colleague and as a boss. She knows when to stand down and when to offer advice. “Sara hasn’t really been an administrator,” Fox elaborated. “I don’t think Sara ever really wanted to run the lab. She liked being in the field, she liked doing the science.” Sara Sidle knows where her place is on “CSI: Vegas,” and it’s right next to Grissom, following the evidence.
