There is just one episode of Dexter: New Blood to go this season and fans are just concerned about one thing… is there going to be a second season?

If you want to read into the Tweet that executive producer Scott Reynolds sent out recently, then you might think there is a second season. Now, Dexter: New Blood was supposed to be a limited series. So, maybe instead of season 2, there will be a spinoff of some kind?

Whatever might be on the horizon, Reynolds says it’s “EXCITING,” all caps and everything! So, it must be big news. There are all kinds of theories that people have about the news. A show about Harrison, a new season, or something else entirely. Whatever it is, the good news is that we should all know within just a few days. Check out the tweet below and see for yourself.

Dexter fans are no strangers to disappointment, unfortunately. When the original series ended, things did not go over well. That’s what Dexter: New Blood is supposed to rectify. A good and satisfactory ending to Dexter Morgan’s story or a fun continuation. That has been what viewers have wanted with the new series.

So far this season, so good. The story has been compelling, new characters have been added successfully, and of course, the father-son aspect with Harrison.

Is Dexter Seeing Eye-to-Eye With Harrison?

Alright, y’all. I’m going to throw down a SPOILER ALERT here, so you don’t get mad at me. If you didn’t watch the last couple of episodes, close your eyes… or don’t, but just know I warned you. This season of Dexter: New Blood has given us a lot of twists and turns. But the finale might give us the biggest one yet.

Dexter has decided to show Harrison the code. The lessons that Harry, Dexter’s adopted dad taught him as a teenager. It seems like the father and son are bonding over their origin stories and embracing themselves for who they are.

But, there’s just one problem. In the last episode, Kurt Caldwell was dealt with. Dexter decided to let Harrison experience a kill. Caldwell might have been one of the most prolific and “successful” serial killers ever. His killings go back 25 years, and the deaths are unimaginable. Harrison was obviously uneasy with the moment.

‘Dexter: New Blood’ Ready to Settle Things in Finale

So, with Harrison officially under his wing, Dexter now has a family again. Dexter: New Blood is heading for this big finale and that means some loose ends should be tied up.

One of those loose ends is Dexter’s girlfriend, Angela. The small town sheriff has been gathering evidence against her lover. It is clear she believes he is the Bay Harbour Butcher. Is Harrison going to have to deal with Angela? Will she be understanding? Or is Dexter doomed for a fate not many saw coming into the season?
