Betty White was one of the greats. Her loss was a heartbreaking one that is still hitting Hollywood and fans everywhere quite hard. Folks everywhere adored Betty White, the former star of The Golden Girls. Since her passing last week, fans and fellow actors alike have taken to social media to grieve and publicly mourn her passing. One such figure is Don Cheadle who remembered his ‘Golden Palace’ co-star Betty White.

On his personal Twitter account, Cheadle wrote a beautiful note about Betty White who co-starred with him on the spinoff series. He wrote, “betty was the best of the best.” He continued, “when we were shooting scenes together it was difficult for the DP to get the lighting right between my chocolate and betty’s white! she was either a ghost or i was the shadow. i came on set one day and betty had darkened her make up/hair a bit in an attempt to accommodate for it.”

How awesome is that? Betty was kind all the time and Cheadle loved her teamwork on-set and everything she did to make it all work.

He continued about Betty White, “nobody asked her to do it. and that’s just one small example of her overflowing generosity. my dogs thank her too. she gave us our veterinarian reco who we still see to this day. she was the goldenest of them all and will be forever missed.”

Betty White went above and beyond for her co-star Don Cheadle. Even helping him find the right vet for his family dog. Betty White wanted to help her friends her co-stars.

Betty White Quotes

Life is complicated. Sometimes we make it, though, a bit more complicated than it needs to be. Sometimes we get lst thinking too much about the future and not nearly enough about the now. White was hyper-aware of that and encourage folks to not overthink it.

Betty White once said, “There’s no formula. Keep busy with your work and your life. You can’t become a professional mourner. It doesn’t help you or others. Replay the good times. Be grateful for the years you had.” You have just kind of have to keep going. You must stay busy with your work and with your life. What works for you may not work for others.

She also said, “So you may not be as fast on your feet, and the image in your mirror may be a little disappointing, but if you are still functioning and not in pain, gratitude should be the name of the game.” It’s al about gratitude. That was the name of the game for Betty White. Be grateful for the time that you have and find happiness in the little things.
