On Friday morning, Duck Dynasty star Korie Robertson shared a heartfelt birthday message on Instagram dedicated to her son, Rowdy.
Rowdy is Willie and Korie Robertson‘s adopted son who joined the family back in May 2016. A few months later in September, the Robertsons officially adopted Rowdy. The young man has now been with the famous family from Duck Dynasty for five years since he was 14 years old.
The teenager isn’t the Robertsons only adopted child. For years now, Rebecca Robertson has been part of their family as well. Their daughter first came into the family’s life as an exchange student from Taiwan when she was only 16 years old. They enjoyed their time with Rebecca so much that they invited her back for her senior year as well. Not long after, she became a full-time member of the family and has been with them ever since.
In addition, the Robertsons first adopted son is Will, or “Little Will,” when he was still an infant. He joined the family at only five weeks old, but didn’t make regular appearances on Duck Dynasty. As of last fall, Will moved out and is attending college to earn his degree.
However, today was all about Rowdy. The Robertsons third adopted child celebrated his 19th birthday with his friends and family on December 10th, and his mother made sure to acknowledge his big day.
“Happy Birthday, Rowdy!! 19!! You’ve become a man! So crazy how fast it happened! I pray that your 19th year of life is your best one yet. Always put your trust in God, keep your feet planted on solid ground, fix your eyes on Him, and know that God loves you and so do we!! I love you,” Korie Robertson wrote to her son.
‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Powers Through the Flu for Sweet Moment With Grandchild
We hope Korie Robertson is feeling better today so she can join in on any birthday festivities for Rowdy. The last time we heard from the Duck Dynasty star, she revealed to her fans that she had come down with the flu. Yet she wasn’t letting it hold her back from playing with her grandchildren.
Anyone that’s caught the flu knows it can be brutal. However, Korie pushed through the virus while playing with her young grandkid recently. The reality TV star shared a sweet moment with her toddler grandson John Shepherd two days ago. In the video, she’s dragging John Shepherd around the hardwood floor while he lies on a blanket. “When you have the flu but really want to keep playing,” she added to the clip.
“The flu seems like it’s back with a vengeance this year; we’re dropping like flies over here! You know it’s bad when this is my most used emoji from the past week. Anybody else??” the Duck Dynasty star captioned her post along with a tired face emoji.
