On Thursday night, Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson shared a sweet Instagram post about her daughter and wondered what was going through her little mind.
Honey James Huff is coming up on her first Christmas as the newest member of the Robertson family. Willie and Korie Robertson‘s famous family have gotten much bigger in the last few years. They’ve now got four grandchildren with another on the way that’s due on Christmas Day. However, for now, Sadie and her husband Christian Huff’s daughter is the youngest member of the Robertson clan.
As is often the case, Sadie shared another post on social media about her young daughter. Since she gave birth to Honey on May 11th, Sadie has shared the little one growing up on a regular basis with her more than 4.5 million Instagram followers. Additionally, she’s highlighted the ups and downs of her own personal journey as a new mom.
Recently, Sadie took Honey out for some fresh air as she played on a blanket in a field with some of her baby toys. As the Duck Dynasty reality TV star sat with her daughter, she couldn’t help but wonder what was going through Honey’s mind. Sadie said she can’t wait to know one day soon when her daughter can express her thoughts with words. In the meantime, she’ll have to keep guessing.
“what goes through your mind little one… I truly can’t wait to know. gosh, I love my girl. nothing like this,” the Duck Dynasty star wrote on Instagram.
‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Explains How She and Her Husband Chose Daughter’s Name
Just a couple of weeks before Sadie gave birth to Honey, the Duck Dynasty star opened up about her daughter’s name. She and her husband knew it may garner some interest, so Sadie wanted to explain it before the media got ahold of the news. The name came from one of her favorite bible verses, but it had more ties to their family than just the verse itself.
“When Christian and I started dating, we went through the book of Proverbs together,” Sadie wrote on Instagram. “And I remember getting to chapter 16, and as I read verse 24, I said to him, ‘you have words like honey. They are so sweet and are healing places in my heart I didn’t even know needed to be healed.'”
The young married couple tied the knot in 2019, but the origin of their daughter’s name predates the ceremony. In fact, the name Honey also has ties to the Duck Dynasty star’s great-grandmother.
“On our first date, we went to do pottery together, and on my cup, I simply wrote ‘honey’ because I called him the boy with the honey words,” she shared in another Instagram post. “Fast forward 2 and a half years later, and we have a daughter on the way who we so proudly get to name after one of the loveliest words. Not to mention this word reminds me of my great-grandma, who calls everyone she loves honey.”
